I Rather Have My Coffee Alone
There are different ways for us to enjoy our meals, drinks and so on. Some individuals would prefer to having someone with them who would keep them companied. I have watched this in movies and it looks so wonderful, because most of those moments, you see them discussing vital issues and at the end, they seem to go with their problems solved.
Well, others are the direct opposite, they prefer to go out alone and have their drinks all by themselves. And if you will ask me if they often have fun and really enjoy their drinks? I would say yes! We have individuals difference, everyone has preference and trust me what a person loves will always be fun to the people even if it literally looks boring to others.
I am a person who loves doing my things alone, I don't know why it is so but my life is just a kind of private life. I eat alone, drink alone, walk alone and that is just it for me, though few times I eat with my friends if they visit me or I go over to their places . I love seeing people eat with others, the love they share amazes me but it doesn't just work for me, I feel so uncomfortable, except if it's a must. Sometimes it make some feel as if I am either wasting the person's time, or I am being too fast.
So , if I am to choose whether to have my coffee with a friend or to have it alone I would rather have my coffee alone. It's not as if I am stingy or something but when taking my coffee alone, I have that peace and a lot of time to visualize my life and think things through. I have tried having drinks with friends and honestly, most of the moments made me regretted ever going out with them.
Having a coffee drink with a friend menas you would have to drink considering the friend, you would just be like a prisoner, maybe the moment you want to sip your coffee is the time the person might bring an interesting topic and before you know it, your attention might be shifted from your coffee to the person. I prefer giving my drink my attention and concentration, that makes me enjoy the flavor and the sweet smell, and you know if you missed that moment, you have missed the drink.
So, drinking along side with a friend would really ruin it for me. Another reason why I would prefer having my coffee drink alone is, I am pretty sure that I would have to either rush my drink or take it cold, which might make me loose interest on the drink and that is something I cannot afford.
Maybe this is because of my nature, I am not trying to convince you to adopt my method but if you check it out closely, you would agree with me that having your coffee alone is the best. Hope you know that with someone around you, you might not be able to sip your coffee relax for a moment, calm your mind then go for another sip again as you allow your head cool off? You would be having that consciousness of someone being around you and that would really do you bad.
But you see when you go to the coffee shop alone, there would not be anything need to either be hasty or try to divide your attention inorder not to make your friend feel uncomfortable, it will just be you and you alone and all you can do is enjoy the moment to the fullest.

I can't remember the last time I ate with someone on thesame plate, I mean someone that's not a family member. It feels awkward 😅.
Imagine eating with pretence, not to be seen as someone that rushes food out of hunger or eating very slow 🤧

You are on point. Most people prefer to drink their coffee alone for some of the reasons you mentioned. Coffee time can be another 'me-time'. Of course, drinking with friends and family is apart of our social nature but I prefer to drink alone sometimes.

I can certainly relate my good friend. There's something so special about spending time in one's own company. It allows one to deelply reflect on certain aspects of life. I would say that I feel nearer to God when I'm alone.. with no other distractions. I also enjoy my cuppa coffee lol. Thanks for sharing and keep well mate.

I think I can relate to an extent, on a normal day not every time drinking coffee or drinks with friends is advisable because they are some issues that can only be solved if we get some lone time with ourselves to meditate.
Coffee is a wonder delicacy, which means every sip of it deserved to be enjoyed, I would prefer to have my coffee alone whenever I feel like but not always.
So does this make you some kind of introvert or you are just an introverted coffee drinker😅
