In a strange town where people must drink coffee six times a day, yes it is incredible! the traditional dish has to do with coffee, their music talks about coffee, their crops are coffee and their houses are designed in such a way that even coffee cups appear, it seems like a magical place.
Most of the people that live in the town are elderly, the few young people that exist are around 15 years old and the rest are apparently 25 years old and up, there are no young people from 15 to 25 years old, I could notice that once I went to this town to visit, I was delighted because I am an inveterate coffee lover ☕️.
On one of the horseback rides my wife and I went and arrived at a hill where you could see the whole town, in the distance you could see an old cemetery a little neglected with large weeds where you could see that they did not take much care of it, we asked the guide and he told us that this was the town cemetery, we did not take it into account and we continued our walk.
At the end of the afternoon, we were eating at the inn and we saw photos of when the town was founded and we began to see the faces of the people and many were familiar to us, all with cups of coffee, it was unusual to see photos like that on all the walls, Something that caught our attention was that wherever we went according to the time they had coffee they would bring us a cup, no matter if we wanted it or not they would give it to us, we enjoyed it because each coffee served was different, this new one was better than the previous one, we wished they would give us more and more coffee.
In one of the photos was the one of the cemetery all the people gathered between three graves, the strangest thing was that every person in the town that we began to see were the same as those in the photos, which was impossible since the photos were more than 400 years old.
My wife and I decided to get closer to the graves and we went to the cemetery, there we could see on the tombstones that the deceased people were from 15 to 25 years old, we were amazed and wanted to ask but no one would give us answers, so we decided to leave that town, but the next day the car broke down, and we could not leave that day was the coffee festival and we could not get a mechanic to help us, so we had to walk to the neighboring village, there we found a man who told us not to go near the coffee fair, because it was a ritual for tourists and teenagers never leave the village, we were afraid and did not know what to do.
When we went back to the village to get our car and our belongings the villagers would not let us go, they told us we had to stay, so they gave us a big cup of coffee one we had never tasted and that cup of coffee put us to sleep, it has been more than 100 years since that cup of coffee, our bodies are alive and every day we repeat that same cup of coffee at 6pm, We are still in this town, we stayed forever, we could never leave like so many others, a town that the coffee makes them live forever without aging, but if you are a teenager that cup of coffee will surely lead you to death like so many in the cemetery, we do not know why but this town is waiting for you.
