So What Changed Over the Years?

Hello, lovely souls! It's Friday, yay!

I stayed while the husband went downtown to attend to an aunt's burial. I wasn't feeling my best today so I opted not to go with him. I then went out to the backyard for a little while and took photos of our wee garden then went on to check my archives for older photos thinking I'd participate on the gardening challenge here in the Hive. And while on my files, I noticed some coffee photos that had me pondering about time, changes and other things.

This for instance was in 2016 in front of my laptop. My good ole coffee with milk and a bowl of graham cake as my snack. The farm boy and I just came home from overseas and I delved into online marketing then while I did my consulting thingy with the offshore company I worked with.

Eager to learn more, I would spend hours reading or watching tutorials online,at least, that's how I remembered those days.

Below photo was in 2017, still in front of my laptop, but in our very first house. My coffee was plain black and some slices of baked goodies, probably carrot cake by the color of it, haha! I often made cookies or brownies back then and at times, carrot cakes or ice cream rolls even.

This reminded me of Steemit where I spent some of my time before. I was also trading crypto and doing other online stuff like revenue sharing programs and others. (I now wonder why I didn't learn about Hive that year hehe.)

By the end of 2017, I was having wine and lesser coffee especially when I was working late nights. I found my mind worked better at night time and red wine was a good company while the farmboy snores in the bedroom, lol! He doesn't really snore, but he sleeps earlier than me.

I particularly liked a glass of wine during the summer nights. I think this was "Bugnay" sold locally.

Fast forward to a month ago and today, I am still in front of my computer consuming 2-4 cups of coffee at any given day and still doing online stuff and lazing around at times.

So nothing really changed over the years?

Well, there have been some. Oh, many in fact.

For one, we got more lines on our foreheads indicating we aren't that young anymore, lol! They are not really visible though, but it cannot be denied that years have gone by since the first photo above.

Second, we now live in our second home, far away from the noise of civilization, haha! Kidding aside, we love it here more than anywhere else. The peace and quiet is very much enjoyed compared to our first home where constant honking of cars and chatters were always heard.

Third, I no longer do any of the online or affiliate marketing stuff and consulting like I used to. Yes, I still trade crypto and stocks from time to time and I now have more wallets than I can even manage!

Fourth, which I think is one of the greatest changes ever, is that I am now blogging on Hive and on other platforms too and am now sharing this wee story to you, and yes, you too :)

There may have been many changes over the years, but coffee never gets old. In fact, it actually brings back memories of some distant past. And now, I wonder... what changes would I expect to happen for the next 5-6 years? Oh geez... I'm gonna need another cup!

Thank you and Happy Friday all!

Lovely post. I like the idea of taking photos of the everyday to record where you were at given times. I don’t do that enough.

Thank you :) Sometimes it is surprising to see photos of past years and reminds us of some things almost forgotten :)

Yep that’s precisely it, photos are so powerful

Change is inevitable. Our taste may change as we grow old. On a side note, I never tried wine and work. When coffee don't kick some alertness, I drink soda. Enjoy a slice of !PIZZA.

Truth, change is the best ingredient to growth and progress :) Soda kicks me hard so I avoid it at all cost :) Thank you for your visit and the slice of pizza ;-)
