I had thought about talking about another topic, but I always get caught up in the networks of coffee and the emotions that this drink unleashes. We always like to say what we like about places and perhaps to stop mentioning what we don't like because there is no progress in this regard.
Whenever I make a date with my friends, I suggest Café Real Dos Gardenias, located in the center of the city, Lorenzo Ortiz Street, on the Boulevard. There I have met several times with my friends and especially with my friend the actor Ivo Dovale, a lover of this place.
Among the details that I like is the fact that it is one of the only places in the city where you can have breakfast. It seems important to me because the culinary and restaurant tradition on the island does not include breakfast services and it is one of my favorite moments of the day in which it is shared with the best vibes of the day that begins.
Another detail that I like about Café Real Dos Gardenias is its location in a place close to all the cultural centers. From there it only takes two or three minutes to arrive on time for a gathering, a concert or the museum. It is very easy to get to the place although its architecture and identification is very discreet.
The human factor is important in the quality of services. The employees at Café Real Dos Gardenias are friendly and manage to establish a certain friendship with their customers, an aspect that permeates the desire to meet up with friends again under the pretext of some croquettes, a hamburger and always coffee.
But as the tradition of service in establishments, restaurants and cafes in Cuba stated, it is something that does not reach the desired refinement. Even their employees are not able to understand the details for an exquisite service.
I don't like cold coffee, the waiter must assume the rules of the service. Some prefer cold coffee, others warm, others hot and it is part of the information that they must write down at the time of ordering.
