I recently entered a supermarket that I didn't know, the first thing that caught my attention was how big the place was, in fact it is huge, it must be the biggest one in the city. That feeling of spaciousness is amplified because most of the shelves are barely the size of a medium person and the ceiling is quite high.
One of them caught my attention because of the colorful packaging, a multicolored macaw appeared on a background that showed large green leaves, anyone would say that it was the perfect image of the tropics. As if that were not enough, the brand name of the coffee bears the same name of my country: "Puro Venezuela".
I took one of the packages and when I looked at the back I read with great surprise that the coffee is packed in the city of Barcelona, in the eastern part of the country, about five hundred kilometers from where I live. This is the first coffee I have seen from that area in the supermarkets of my city. All the reviews I have made are of coffees processed in the central western states.

From the information provided on the packaging several things caught my attention, one is that the company that processes it has a long tradition in that region since it was founded in 1945. The truth is that it never ceases to amaze me the amount of things that one does not know, I love to learn new things.
I also noticed that on the back of the package they mention several methods of coffee preparation, here for the first time they mentioned the French press, very little known in my country.
All that information was enough to convince me to take that coffee, I bought a package of two hundred grams to do the tests that I have been doing with the other brands.
Before writing this review I searched the internet for information about the producing company, I was curious to know where the coffee they process comes from.

On that I did not obtain more information, but I did find a note where it says that this company received in 2022 an international certification granted by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI), a North American organization.
As in previous opportunities I did the same tests in my moka coffee maker, trying to maintain the same proportions of coffee and water.
In the first test I used a measure of coffee for a cup of water, the result was quite satisfactory. While passing the hot water the coffee gave off a very pleasant aroma, however, the flavor seemed very mild to me.
I let about ten minutes pass and prepared another cup, keeping the same amount of water but increasing the amount of coffee by a third. I liked this result better, the coffee leaves a certain fruity flavor and remains for a while at the bottom of the palate.

I let some of the coffee cool and when I tasted it again I could appreciate that it maintained the same degree of acidity, the flavor of the coffee had not changed at all.
Throughout the afternoon I prepared other cups of coffee, one to which I added only sugar and another to which I added milk and sugar, in both cases the coffee maintained a very pleasant flavor.
I would recommend this coffee "Puro Venezuela" with the observation that I found it not very yielding. Even so, I am sure that when I am near that supermarket I will stop by to see if they still have it in stock, and if so I will not hesitate to take another package.
It is likely that some of the readers of this publication have tried this brand, I would appreciate your opinion.
Thanks for your time.

Hmm I think it's the first time I've thought about coffee as being yielding - how do you mean? That the taste was too strong? Would love to know :) Thanks for your detailed review!

I have tried this brand of coffee and I liked it quite a bit, although it won't do anything for me, I should put more coffee in it, because I prefer it very pure.
But the flavor and aroma make me want to try it again, thank you for sharing your experience and bringing back good memories, greetings 🤗🥰☕
How are you friend, the truth is that I have seen this coffee before, but I have not tried it. But thanks to your Review maybe I will. Greetings🤜
