Greetings. A few days ago I made a review about Café la Protectora, one of the ones we use in my house. In one of the comments my friend @chris-chris92 told me about one I didn't know, she commented that among the ones she liked the best was "Della Nonna".
That comment aroused my curiosity, I had seen the coffee many times on the shelves of supermarkets but it had never caught my attention even though its name is quite suggestive and in a way it was familiar to me. My sister-in-law's parents were Italian and we called them Nonno, and Nonna. But thanks to my friend's comment I made up my mind and bought a two hundred gram package to try it.
Days went by and my wife did not decide to try the new coffee, she said she was waiting for a special occasion. That occasion came last weekend when we decided to set up our "Nativity Scene", in other places they call it a "Nativity Scene".
Mounting "El Nacimiento" is a great tradition in our country, we do it every Christmas to commemorate the birth of the Child God.
At home we did not mount it since my daughter went to Europe, six years ago, somehow we still had some mourning because she was the one who made us pressure to mount it. But my wife decided that this year would be different and even though it would be just the two of us we would put up our nativity, she and I. I was already up on Saturday when I woke up.
By the time I woke up on Saturday my wife was already well ahead of schedule, she had almost the whole nativity done. In addition, she had opened the package of "Della Nonna" coffee. Against my habit of drinking coffee in the morning I decided to drink the new coffee and I did the same tests as the previous ones.
Shortly after putting the coffee in the pot the aroma was already filling the whole space, it is a very aromatic coffee and I had the impression that it had a sweet smell.
In terms of performance it was also quite good. With the two measures we used it gave a fairly strong coffee, enough to reduce it a little with warm water without losing any of its pleasant flavor.
In the other test to see the level of acidity there was no major change in acidity when tasted hot and cold.
I liked the coffee quite a lot, its flavor is very balanced, neither too acidic nor too bitter. I felt a touch of sweetness that I found pleasant, I had not noticed that flavor in the other coffees we used. I think that from now on I will buy this coffee more frequently, its price is similar to the rest of the brands, what I have noticed is that they hardly put it in the offers.
On the internet I did not get more information about the product, something very frequent in my country. In addition, the page where some information is offered is down.
In one of the coffee shops I was told that this coffee was from the same group that produces "Café Amanecer", one of the most demanded coffees.
Reviewing the packaging I found some information, it says that the grind is fine and that its roasting is medium dark, they also recommend preparing it with filtered water for a more pleasant experience. Another piece of information is that it is produced in the central western part of the country, specifically in the state of Portuguesa, an area that has a great tradition in the production of quality coffee. Nowhere did it say whether it belonged to the Robusta or Arabica type. I presume it must be Arabica because of its delicate flavor.
This coffee "Della Nonna" left a great impression on me, thanks to friend @chris-chris92 for mentioning it in her comment. If she hadn't said so, I might not have dared to try it. If you see it in supermarkets give it a try, you might like it.
Thanks for your time.

Good review. I'd have to try it and see, given your words. 😁
I'm glad you liked the post thanks for stopping by and commenting dear @dfreitesp .
Thank you so much.
Hmm I hadn't thought of using filtered water for my coffee until now, but that's an interesting idea! I really enjoyed how you wove through this coffee review the personal connection with putting up the Nativity scene :)
I'm glad you liked the publication. I also found it novel to use filtered water, I didn't know that recommendation. Thanks for stopping by and for your support, dear @honeydue . A big hug from Maracay.
Hi @irvinc, definitely a good coffee, it's good to do these tests because we sharpen the sense of taste, besides doing the mental exercise of finding similarities and differences, quite a challenge. 😊
It's a great coffee, I think we're going to buy it more often now. Thanks for stopping by and commenting dear @damarysvibra . A big hug.
