Spring in foreign lands is a wet season here in our town. The grounds have been damp for weeks, or perhaps months, and we haven't been able to enjoy the day because of the daily rain. But I should not complain. Spring is needed for farms because it provides water for crops, regenerates nutrients in the soil, and supports overall agricultural efficiency.
Sitting before my computer and focusing too much on work can be tedious and exhausting. I am glad I have my niece, who often sits beside me and reminds me to take a breather. One afternoon, I decided to end my work early to go out, even though there was a light rain.
My niece, sister, and I had a serene afternoon together at a small cafe in the middle of our town. It was a spontaneous visit, but it was great. There is something so wonderful about visiting a simple yet cozy cafe with family members. Even though the cafe is small, it is comfortable and inviting at first sight.
Upon entering, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and sweet background music welcomed us. I had not gone to a coffee shop in a while, and I must say I had missed the atmosphere. I used to visit different cafes back when I was still abroad. But it seems difficult for me now, especially since our town has limited dining options, and the city is quite far from our place. My main goal in the following months is to buy a new laptop to bring my work while traveling to places I want to visit.
That afternoon, it seemed that we owned the place since there weren't any customers except us.
My niece was eager to see what the menu offered. With limited food choices, we were uncertain what to expect. There's something I missed drinking: my favorite latte in Hong Kong—the matcha latte.
I was curious about the dirty matcha on the menu, so I chose it. Although I didn't expect much from it, I want to taste matcha latte again. Since the pastries, which were supposed to be for my niece, were unavailable, I ordered white pasta or carbonara and a strawberry bubble drink instead, which my sister and niece shared.
As expected, the food wasn't that good, and I found the dirty matcha and strawberry bubble drink too sweet. I didn't attempt to taste the white pasta, but my sister said it tasted good.
Although the strawberry bubble drink was too sweet for me, my niece seemed to enjoy it. Kids love sweets more than adults.
Aside from the food, the cozy atmosphere made the experience better. The comfy seats and the pleasant service added to the cafe's charm.
While we enjoyed eating together, laughing and chattering, I was reminded that the best memories are often the simplest ones. The cafe is like a hidden gem that provides an ideal quick escape from the daily hustle. In spite of the not-so-good food, we felt content in our hearts as we left the place.
The best thing about this cafe is how accessible it is. It is conveniently situated in the town proper along the main highway and easily accessible by public transport. Whether you're a resident seeking a quiet, relaxing place or a passerby who needs a quick coffee break, this cafe is a good place to stop for a coffee. It is even better if they have a complete set on the menu and more food choices.
Someday, I wish to visit more places showcasing my province's beauty while working. Hopefully, I can make this plan come true.

These are doubts that we need to go out and see new places to leave the routine aside, it is a breath of fresh air to visit these places, even if the food does not satisfy us, we spend these moments with the family renews our energies.
