Hello, Cinnamon Cup Coffee community!
I have always wondered, what do you share when you share a post about coffee? About the quality of the coffee you had? Or the people that you shared it with? Maybe both, maybe none, I just don't know, as this is my first post in the community, I decided to do it blindly, because as one takes on to a taste a coffee like a leap of faith (Or at least, I do) and find wonders, I intend that when sharing this with you, we all might get a surprising after-taste and a new love into my blog, so come in, let's share this familiar moment with a cup of coffee.
Made by me on Canva.
This particular place is not your certified A-quality place, but it was a barista with a certification on the wall in the middle of a Mall, there are few malls where I live, and only in the Sambil of Maracaibo you would spot this small place, It was our first outing as a family to the place since covid took over the world, so we were amazed to find that just after the restrictions loosened up a bit, a Coffee place opened in the Sambil, at the time we all looked at each other and said: "Let's have a coffee" and it was decided.
It happened seven months ago, and I just could not find a way to post about it, never done a blog about a coffee shop, so No clue about what to write about, and today I stumbled into the community and decided "Why not?", and here we are, you, the reader, and I, the shaky writer.
The place was a bit noisy, it was a mall after all, but the tables were so far from any other food place that you could strike up a decent conversation, sooner than later both my mom and aunt ordered a Latte, it was not a bad take, I decided to order a Mochaccino because it has always been my coffee to go when tasting a new place.
People have their own "rule" when testing a coffee place, mine is that if the Mochaccino chocolate is not a premade industrial syrup and the coffee is not bath in sugar when served, then, if it tastes good, they pass my rule, it is not about the quality of the grains or whatever, but about not messing the flavor of the coffee.
Coffee should taste like coffee, when a place serves it so sugary that it can be called candy, then they failed to serve coffee, yet this place proved itself to me, and my family, they served the Mochaccino and the Lattes and excelled at both of them, my fiancée on the other side decided to pull a trick on both me and my aunt.
Abigail tasted both of the coffee served at the table, one sip of mine and one from my aunt, and then decided what to order based on what she liked the most, a real elegant and clever trick I think, in that way she guaranteed that she would like what she ordered and in exchange risked nothing. Soon she was served another Mocachino making four cups on the table, yet we all sit there and chatted in a family moment while taking our drinks slowly and enjoying every minute of the time we spent together drinking some coffee.
My aunt was the second to drink hers, so she could play with my daughter (Sofía) and talk more as she wanted to try some of the desserts too, ironically we never quite got to buy desserts as we were distracted and soon after decided to just leave it to the next time(That is yet to come), and we also got curious of tasting this place coffee in both the "bombón" and the Frappuccino presentations.
Mom just in case you wondered was the first to drink the coffee once it was served, she was drinking it like it was some kind of competition, and the prize seemed to be just to hold the baby before my aunt, they did have some nice grandmother - granddaughter moment just the two of them that made all of us smile, yet mom quite literally drank hers long before we even got to taste ours.
As soon as we all drank ours, we were stuck there chatting for a while, we shared our thoughts on the Coffee and the place, mostly because the ambiance was so good that it was worthwhile to enjoy family time just chilling together for a change, after the Covid-19 lockdown, these moments were so scarce that every one of them has to be lived to its fullest.
Something I would love to add is that they dusted the chocolate on the coffee, it was a nice touch, as they dropped melted chocolate into it and then dusted a bit on top of it adding two different layers of chocolate flavor to it, quite refreshing considering that it was a random stand into a mall.
With our four cups emptied, we proceeded to leave and while we enjoyed our stay and said we would return to Caribbean Café to have a second time, this has yet to happen. For that, I will always remember the moments, as they live longer than the cups and the mall itself, those moments that were made alongside Coffee in the family will forever be etched into my memories, as we had decided to share life and enjoy it together, and now i'm grateful for having a chance to live this life that I have.
With all things said and done, I hope you enjoyed my first post in Cinnamon Cup Coffee, and if you want to share your thoughts on it or any tips for a future post, I will gladly read you in the comment section below.

That's a good point. I agree... 😂
But yeah, I agree that some coffees are so sugary that I wouldn't even call them coffee.
It sounds like your mom drinks coffee like my wife, down the hatch and gone 😆
Nice outing with the family.
Down the hatch and gone
yep, she drinks coffee like that, in my eyes they do not enjoy coffee to its fullest. Thanks and Nice comment :)I tend to go for black coffee but I cannot deny that these look divine. Great choices:)))
Black Coffee/Espresso is something I identify my dad with, he usually does that, and taught me to do so, but I save it to work days or really stressful moments of my life, for enjoyment I love Moca's and that is enough for me :), thanks for passing by and comment, big hug.

Thanks for passing by, it is nice to have a welcome into the community, as it's my first time posting here, the method Abigail used is a bit tricky but is great if you may want to dodge a bad choice ahead of you, she is quite clever ha,ha,ha, we will find a way or a day to pass by that small spot again, i know it, it was worth the time we had in it. Thanks for commenting and I send you a big hug.

Thank you, It is one of the most sacred moments of life, hopefully i will participate again soon, wherever I have an outing and get a chance to stop by a coffee shop :)
Thank you :)
This is an important point of coffee. Coffee in the mix is fine, but the coffee flavor of the coffee beans must still be felt. The issue of mixing coffee is about the creativity of the coffee maker, but the real coffee maker will definitely not leave coffee there.
Coffee should taste like coffee, so mixes is good as long as they dont obscure the flavor of the coffee :), glad to see you around hive, thanks for the comment :)
