Feel the magic: Coffee with football

Hello everyone!

It's really been a long while since I wrote in this community, and upon seeing the topic for this prompt, I felt it was something I wouldn't want to miss sharing my vibes on—how I enjoy my coffee.**

There's a special kind of feeling that comes whenever I'm sipping my coffee while watching a football match in my house. That combo feels like it's made from heaven. Oh my goodness! You see the way a lot of guys talk about sipping a bottle of alcohol while enjoying a match or watching a movie? Well, I'm not an alcoholic person, but that's exactly how I feel when sipping my coffee—kicking my legs, sometimes hitting the center table while screaming for joy, or pouring insults on an underperforming player.

Let me break it down:

When I say football matches, I don't actually mean all matches—no, I'm talking about the ones that drag my adrenaline so high, and that’s basically when a club or country I support is playing. If you know football very well, you'll agree with me that there's a unique way the body reacts and feels whenever a team it supports is playing.

*Now, about the coffee—on football match days, I don't just make a sachet of Nescafé; I make two sachets to last me longer until the end of the match. But, funny enough, I always end up finishing everything before the match ends.

Sometimes, I get tempted to go for another sachet, but no, it's not always available because I don't buy and keep at home. Otherwise, I would finish everything in one sitting. I buy from a store close to my house, as I have mentioned countless times in my previous coffee articles.*

Usually, football is more entertaining when watched in the midst of a crowd, especially in football viewing centers, but on most days when I just want to feel on top of the world while enjoying my coffee, I watch matches at home—either on TV if there's public electricity or by streaming on my phone.

When streaming on my phone, I make sure to keep the phone at a distance so that I don't accidentally spill coffee on it when my adrenaline gets too high.

Apart from taking coffee for its caffeine to keep me awake on days when drowsiness is dealing with me, the best moment of taking coffee is this—football and coffee. It's just magical!

It's far more than how people talk about the vibes of eating while watching movies. This is on another level for me. With this, I don’t struggle to put my hand in different spots to grab food or pay too much attention to scooping my meal, nor do I worry about eating with others and concentrating on the food so I don’t get left behind. Instead, I sip it directly into my mouth—either with a spoon or straight from the mug—while my eyes remain fixed on the screen.

Football lovers out there, if you haven't tried this, just give it a shot and experience the magic.

Thanks for reading.

Interesting! In my country, football is more typically associated with beer, especially as a lot of matches happen in the evening, so quite late for coffee! I know what you mean about it running out way before it's supposed to, as is the way with all good things, no?

Would you like some instant noodles to go with your instant coffee.png
