Tea drinking is a long-standing traditional East Asian culture, for grandparents in the past, tea was an essential drink every day. Respect each other and invite each other to a cup of tea, visitors must have a cup of tea in order to invite each other. My grandparents' generation drank tea every day, it was always in the house, after eating they drank tea, when they came home fatigued from work they drank tea. Tea is no longer used on a regular basis by my parents' generation, instead, my family drinks spring water every day, and we only make a pot of tea to welcome visitors on special occasions or holidays. Tea drinking appears to be a strangeand unusual concept to my generation.
We young people are acclimated to the drinks of the youth era, such as milk tea, lemon tea, and fruit juices rather than tea, because of the rush and bustle of life. I had a very youthful visitor, just over 20 years old, who invited me to a tea shop last weekend to trade work. I was pleasantly surprised by this offer, considering your generation prefers cafés to tea shops. I never think to visit a tea shop.
When I received her address, I was very curious because in the middle of the city, there is a small, strangely quiet, beautiful tea shop like this… The message posted by the shop was my first impression when I walked in: It's Friday, no lights, no wifi, only a cup of fragrant tea by the light of oil lamp, please enjoy your tea in peace and quiet. Please".
The interior of the space is decorated in an antique style, with antique items such as speakers, desk phones, wood stoves, sewing machine tables, oil lamps, thermoses, and other items that I haven't seen in a long time. Due to modern life and the development of electricity, those items have been replaced by electronic appliances, and I can't find them when I return to my hometown. this application
It reminds me of a peaceful time when I lived with my grandparents, when my parents were not alone, the whole family gathered to eat by the dim light of the oil lamp but it was warm and happy.
The shop uses yellow lighting to create a nostalgic atmosphere, and the calm, melodic music makes you feel incredibly at ease. The tables and chairs utilized are antique tables, not as modern as those found in other cafes.
A unique feature of the shop is a section dedicated to things created by the employees that are very appealing: soaps, fragrant candles, varied tea combos, and even tea-making kits. You can also buy yourself a set of tea and teapots so that you can create your own at home, which is an interesting option.
The cafe's menu is as ancient as the shop itself, offering a wide range of beverages such as tea, coffee, cake, and even fermented drinks created in-shop.
We went two people to order a set of fragrant vanilla tea, because sitting in a warm store and enjoying a cup of hot tea is nothing in Da Nang's cold weather. Our mood is also quite excellent in such a nice and kind atmosphere, and everything exchange becomes really easy.
On the drive home after the meeting with my partner, I kept thinking that young people like us should go quiet spaces like this, turn off wifi, and disconnect from social media for a few hours. Isn't it interesting to live a little slower?
You are welcome to come here if you enjoy the space as much as I do!
