On the night of Saturday, February 19, I received a message on my cell phone via WhatsApp, it was my young and always beautiful niece Estefania: "Uncle, what are you going to do tomorrow?" ... Umm, tomorrow! Sunday! day of being at home, watching television, listening to music, reading a good book, preparing everything for work on Monday, resting... being in that deep meditation, my beloved wife tells me:
- "My love, Estefania is inviting us out, she wants to take us to a cozy place, recently opened, because she wants to share a sweet afternoon with us, what do I tell her?" I replied to my wife:
- God, what a nice gesture on your part!, but I think we should decline the invitation, remember that it's Sunday and public transport gets heavy (we don't have a vehicle). Then my wife insisted:
- Hey, I think we should go, it's not correct to snub a loved one, besides, it's the first time that a young woman in the family has such deference to us. Given that reasoning, I must confess that I was disarmed and my argument rolled on the floor, what's more, I felt ashamed, so we decided to go to the invitation.

La noche del sábado 19 de febrero recibí un mensaje en mi teléfono celular vía WhatsApp, era mi joven y siempre bella sobrina Estefanía: "¿Tío, qué van a hacer mañana?" ... Umm, mañana ¡Domingo! día de estar en casa, ver televisión, escuchar música, leer un buen libro, preparar todo para la faena del lunes, descansar ... estando en esa profunda meditación, mi amada esposa me dice:
- "Mi amor, Estefanía nos está invitando a salir, ella quiere llevarnos a un lugar acogedor, recien inaugurado, porque desea compartir con nosotros una tarde dulce, ¿qué le digo?" Le respondí a mi esposa:
- ¡Dios, qué bonito gesto de su parte!, pero creo que debemos declinar la invitación, recuerda que es domingo y el transporte público se pone pesado (no tenemos vehículo). Entonces mi esposa insistió:
- Oye, creo que deberíamos ir, no es correcto desairar a un ser querido, además, es la primera vez que una joven de la familia tiene tal deferencia con nosotros. Ante ese razonamiento, debo confesar que quedé desarmado y mi argumento rodó por el piso, es mas, me sentí avergonzado, así que decidimos acudir a la invitación.

Today, Sunday of sharing, my wife and I got up early, we bathed, we dressed, we had breakfast, we left everything ready for the task on Monday, we waited for the indicated time and left, when we got to the public transport stop a bus to Caracas, we boarded it and when we got to the terminal, we got on another bus that took us to our destination, where our beautiful niece Estefanía was waiting for us with her daughter, the princess of the family, Isabela. Regardless of the hateful social distancing, we gave each other a big hug, then we went to the La Dulce Cita Bakery, located in the La Candelaria Urbanization, less than a block from the Plaza of the same name, Caracas.

Hoy, domingo de compartir, mi esposa y yo nos levantamos temprano, nos bañamos, nos vestimos, desayunamos, dejamos todo listo para la faena del día lunes, esperamos la hora indicada y salimos, al llegar a la parada del transporte público iba saliendo un autobús para Caracas, lo abordamos y al llegar a la terminal, subimos a otro autobús que nos llevó a nuestro destino, donde nos esperaba nuestra bella sobrina Estefanía con su hija, la princesa de la familia, Isabela. Sin importar el odioso distanciamiento social nos dimos un fuerte abrazo, luego fuimos a la Pastelería La Dulce Cita, ubicada en la Urbanización La Candelaria, a menos de una cuadra de la Plaza homónima, Caracas.

Although the time passed very quickly we made the most of it; We had a pleasant time, the beautiful ladies who accompanied me chose the sweet and the drink of their choice, I tasted with pleasure a delicious Creole Golfeado, with the predominant and unmistakable traditional Venezuelan flavor, the sweetness of the papelón and the salty contrast of the white cheese grated that covers it, accompanied by a rich coffee (dark brown) that gladdened my soul and filled my spirit.

Aunque el tiempo transcurrió muy rápido lo aprovechamos al máximo; pasamos un rato placentero, las hermosas damas que me acompañaban eligieron el dulce y la bebida de su preferencia, yo degusté con agrado un delicioso Golfeado criollo, con el predominante e inconfundible sabor tradicional venezolano, la dulzura del papelón y el contraste salado del queso blanco rallado que lo cubre, acompañado de un rico café (marrón oscuro) que alegró mi alma y llenó mi espíritu.

Before concluding this Post, I feel the need to highlight the wonderful gesture that our beautiful niece Estefania had by inviting us to share a sweet afternoon. Unforgettable deference from a beautiful young woman to her uncles, an important detail that reveals the values that accompany our beloved niece, a praiseworthy attitude that reveals her talent and beautiful heart. God willing that every day, more and more young people join the initiative to give a happy afternoon to their grandparents, father, uncles, relatives and older friends. For my part, I have nothing left but to congratulate Estefanía for her principles and her beautiful mother and grandmother because, without a doubt, these courtesy details come from the family.
