What makes this Café special so that it is in the very worthy category in my search engine on the Internet, even though when we came there this building seemed ordinary and could even be categorized as a rundown building. However, it turns out there are several reasons that make this Café very worthy of a visit.
1. Café Menu
One of the factors that makes this Café a favorite is that the menu at this Café is only available in a few places in West Sumatra and I was lucky enough to find this place as one of my visiting destinations. The most famous menu at this Café is Kopi Kawah. What is Kawah Coffee? Crater in West Sumatran means coffee leaf, don't think that the crater I mean here is the place where the remains of the eruption of Mount Merapi are in the form of an arch or lake. So the main menu at this café is coffee which comes from coffee leaves which are processed into coffee drinks. So far I only knew that coffee comes from coffee beans, corn seeds or snake fruit seeds and recently I discovered coffee that comes from the leaves. So people in West Sumatra don't care about expensive coffee beans because they make the coffee leaves into the drink itself. And these coffee leaves which have been processed are combined into several drinks for other choices at this Café, for example Kawah Susu Coffee, Kawah Kopi Original, Kawah Kopi Ginger and various other drinks. Apart from that, to accompany visitors to drink their hot coffee, we can also order a variety of simple cakes typical of West Sumatra. And you know what's special about this menu is the presentation which still uses coconut shells that have been smoothed and then turned into coffee cups.
2. Café View
Apart from the unique menu, the view presented here is very amazing, namely the view of Mount Padang, when I went there Mount Merapi Padang was still emitting volcanic ash and the eruption of Mount Merapi had been going on for 1 month and had claimed lives.
3. Discussion in the Café
Another unique thing is the discussion in the Café, do you know what the people here are discussing? The main topic of their discussion was about travel and beautiful places in West Sumatra and how to get there, because most of those who visited this place were community members and young people who wanted to channel their hiking talents into the surrounding hills or mountains. the field itself
4. Menu Prices
Apart from the unique food, the prices are also very cheap, starting from Rp. 4000 to Rp. 7,000 or if we calculate the exchange rate then the price is only around 0.2566 USD to 0.449 USD.
So do you think this simple coffee is worth a visit for tourists? But be sure don't look at the cafe building because once you feel like sitting in this place you won't want to leave,
