Especially guarapo or guayoyo, as it is called in the state of Monagas, where my mother-in-law is from. Although I am a fan of strong coffee, my mother-in-law has adapted my way of making coffee and now also prepares it a little more intense. After lunch, we sat and chatted pleasantly. However, this time it was very hot despite the air conditioning, so I told her I wanted something cold. When I opened the fridge, I saw the condensed milk and pasteurized milk, and it occurred to me to prepare a delicious cold coffee with a topping of condensed milk. So I said to myself, 'Militza, let's get to work!'"

"Estaba en casa de mis suegros, donde siempre disfrutamos de la hermosa costumbre de compartir un delicioso café negro. En especial, el guarapo o guayoyo, como le dicen en el estado Monagas, de donde es mi suegra. Aunque yo soy fan del café fuerte, mi suegra ha adaptado mi forma de hacer el café y ahora también lo prepara un poco más intenso. Después de almorzar, nos sentamos a platicar placenteramente. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión hacía mucho calor a pesar del aire acondicionado, así que le comenté que deseaba algo frío. Al abrir la nevera, vi la leche condensada y la leche pasteurizada, y se me ocurrió preparar un delicioso café frío con un topping de leche condensada. Así que me dije: '¡Militza, manos a la obra!'"
