Ah, I see! I admire the discipline. My best friend is Muslim, but I haven't seen her in a long time.
I'm a night owl and quite love staying up till 3 AM, but I'm recovering from the flu/covid/or some virus that I'm not sure what it is, so I don't want any setbacks. It's been horrible enough.
Why is that? Are you both in different cities or countries? Is it the distance?
Usually for me it's the distance, my closest friends are spread all over the world. We see each other every 4 to 5 years or so. Everyone's just so busy with their lives, it's a pivotal stage for most of us.
During the Covid years I've gotten used to staying up late, it's easy these days, even though I really don't like staying up late.
Get as much rest as possible, and try to have some warm soup everyday. Soup always helps me, I don't know why, I don't know how, but spicy hot soup can work wonders.
It's because we are in different cities that I haven't seen my friend. I saw her a month ago though.
Yes, the soup works wonders. I got sick in Egypt a few days before returning to the UK, and I had onion soup both evenings and was good enough to fly. When I got back to the UK I contracted something else, and yes, I love soup for ailments like these.
If you don't mind me asking, where exactly are you based? and is it mainly Indian cuisine that you have?
Ahh, at least you're still close by. My friends are all scattered.
I'm in Dhaka, Bangladesh, just beside India. The cuisine around these neighboring parts are quite the same, everyone just adds their own unique twists and has a different name for every dish haha.
Ok, cool! I haven't been to India or any part of that side of the world yet. I only made it to SE Asia. One day I'm sure I'll get there. Maybe India before Bangladesh.
Hive is so cool man! Here I am interacting with people from all over the globe 😊
I'm hoping to see my friend soon:)
It's an easy trip from India to Bangladesh, same from here to there. When we get bored of our own tourist spots we head over to India, especially Kolkata haha. In many ways travelling in India is actually cheaper when compared to Bangladesh. In India the options are endless too, I myself have only visited Kolkata and Delhi, Mumbai too, but I was too young back then. Mumbai was known as Bombay at that time.
That's exactly what I love about Hive. I've gotten to know so many people from all around globe in just a matter of months, it's crazy.
I wish you all the best, and hope that you get to meet your friend ASAP. 🖤
Ah, I think I remember hearing about Bombay!
Yes, Hive Blockchain is a special place for making connections which could not be done on any other social media platform.
I guess you are passing time well, but I hope that you with get a good rest when that time comes:)
Many people know about Bombay, or have at least heard about it, but not a lot of people know that Bombay/Mumbai is the same exact place/city. It's getting close to 30 years since it's been renamed to Mumbai.
I agree, the only other platform that has helped me connect with people from different parts of the globe is online gaming. I've met some amazing people so far from the online world, which lead to real life too. If done right, then the use of internet through many different platforms can help in creating some wholesome relationships.
I'm doing alright. It's 7AM over here. After me and my family were done with suhoor and our prayers, everyone else went straight to sleep. I'm still awake for some reason.
I hope that you too are doing well, Milly. This was a wholesome little chat we had here. It's been a while since I've last replied with such a big thread of chats in the comment section haha.
Do take good care of yourself. Cheers ☕️
