Cinna Rolls: Coffee, Venezuelan Golfeado and My First Ham Bread of 2024 - Barquisimeto [En-Es]

For me, 2024 has been a crazy year. I've traveled, built networks, and formalized my personal projects. Christmas came quickly; I wasn't expecting it, and neither was anyone else expecting the year to end like this. It was like opening and closing my eyes. Certainly, to start the month of December, I had to try a good ham bread (traditional Venezuelan bread made with smoked ham, pork belly, olives stuffed with red peppers, and raisins). The day I went to Cinna Rolls, it was because I was at the Sambil Mall in the city of Barquisimeto, looking for a quote for an electric stove.

I went to the mall early with my brother. We woke up and didn’t eat anything at home. The idea was to eat something light and have a good coffee. Originally, we were going to eat at Dulcita Coffee in the same mall. However, the prices there were exorbitant.

I told my brother we could find a better place with better food and at a good price. Also, I didn’t want what they were offering at Dulcita. I wanted something delicious, fresh, and light.

Walking through the mall, we found a Cinna Rolls branch, which is a chain that specializes in cinnamon rolls. They are a delight! The store caught my attention; it was different and elegant.

In the display case, all the products they sold were visible; they were also restocking and placing each product when we arrived. I must highlight how much I liked how they used their brand identity to incorporate it into the store’s design. It was very eye-catching and immersive.

Another aspect that I found interesting was how they used the brand's colors and combined them with the materials to cover the store. The lights in the space were also very well coordinated. Everything was well-designed, it was aesthetic.

Something that caught my attention was that in front of the store, there was a Moca Coffee branch; also, there was an empty store in front of Cinna Rolls that didn't create an attractive and commercial focus in the hallway. I liked the tables and chairs. They were very comfortable and simple.

One of the details they considered was the trash can, which had boxes on top where they place the ham rolls they sell. The color is very attractive; it draws you in from a distance and wraps you up. The design is very unique and pleasant.

To place an order at the store, I had to approach the counter directly. They didn’t offer me a menu, but some prices were visible on the screens where the promotions and products they offered were displayed.

I asked about the rolls and their price. The idea was always to take a golfeado home (a type of Venezuelan roll made with cheese, cinnamon, and panela sugar caramel). I ordered the roll to take away, but for breakfast, I ordered two mini ham breads along with my brother. The coffees they offered were of two types: machine-made or NESCAFÉ. The NESCAFÉ one was more expensive, so I opted for the machine-made one, which tastes better.

22.jpg

The machine-made coffees are the ones I always enjoy, and they are made with national coffees. In this case, my brother and I ordered two cappuccinos. The total bill was 15 USD (or HBD). The ham breads cost 3.5 USD each (or HBD), the coffees 2.5 USD (or HBD), and the golfeado 3 USD (or HBD). We had to pay before consuming.

After ordering and paying, we sat down and waited about five minutes for our order. The Venezuelan ham breads were heated, which seemed strange to me. We Venezuelans know it’s not necessary. Their presentation was very commercial, although I would have liked it if they had placed each one on a glass plate.

The taste of the ham bread was incredible. It was amazing, and even now, I feel like eating one. This is my favorite Christmas food, my greatest weakness, and what makes me gain weight the most.

The coffee looked great. The cup it was served in had the brand's logo. I thought it was a very nice touch. I really liked its taste, and it came with a small chocolate shortbread cookie, which was delicious.

The golfeado was given to me in a great box, designed to remind me when I ate it that I had visited Cinna Rolls. These little details are what people like me value. A few days ago, I went to dinner at a restaurant, and the food was served with horrible presentation. The difference with Cinna Rolls is that they appreciate aesthetics and know they’re offering their customers a memorable experience.

I value every detail of the establishment. I liked their coffee; the service and attention were wonderful, even though they were restocking their products in the display cases. They appreciated that we decided to eat there. If you decide to visit this place for a quick breakfast or to have a dessert with coffee, it’s perfect. I recommend doing it with good company. The reason is that you should always enjoy a good coffee with someone who shares every new anecdote with you. In my case, I did it with my brother.

SPANISH VERSION (click here!)

Para mí, 2024 ha sido una locura. He viajado, creé redes de contacto y formalicé mis proyectos personales.

Hello, friends. It's great to be here again. Loving and always enjoying a good coffee with a delicious Venezuelan Christmas ham bread.

Hugs to all. Of course, you can't miss the coffee. : )

Greetings friend, a very good and great outing that you had the opportunity to enjoy with your brother and be able to spend a different time with a good cup of coffee, also a sweet. Perfect and for the price that both things had seemed very good to me, so that this moment will be captured by 2024.

Cinna Rolls is a nice place to have a nice cup of coffee and ham bread. The most wonderful thing is to be able to share the experience with your loved ones. The price was very good, thanks for stopping by David. : )

I have to visit her.
