I had wanted to visit Patronus Potter for months because, as you know, I love coffee shop and I'm also a Harry Potter fan. Let me tell you why it took me so long to go to this coffee shop. The first time I went, there was no electricity and the heat was unbearable. I decided to go another time. Everything kept getting postponed due to my scheduled activities and work. Eventually, I managed to go to the coffee after having lunch and discussing work-related matters.

Patronus Potter is located on Pedro León Torres Avenue, between 55a and 55b streets in the city of Barquisimeto, Lara State, Venezuela. It's a bit far from my house, but it's easy to get there by car. However, the coffe's façade is hard to identify because it's small. This feature reminded me of one of the shops in the first Harry Potter movie.

The entrance to the coffee shop is characterized by the four flags of the Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. As you know, without any objection: I am a Gryffindor wizard, I don't care what others say. :P

Upon entering the coffee shop, you can feel how the magic starts to absorb you. There was a shelf full of Harry Potter souvenirs. Above this shelf, there was also a magical hat. It was charming.

On one of the walls at the entrance, there were portraits of Harry, Hermione, and that idiot Ron (Ron is an idiot, you know that). I loved the way the portraits were hung. It was beautiful.

In front of the wall with each of the portraits, there was another wall full of paintings, chandeliers, and flags. Each of these elements reflected the magical and dark touch that characterizes Harry Potter.

One of the most striking areas of the coffee shop is the entrance, because there are many items shown in the movies. There were even the masks of Lord Voldemort’s followers: the Death Eaters. At that moment, I remembered Bellatrix Lestrange's quote: "I killed Sirius Black!"

By the way, I'm currently wearing wide pants. I took this photograph of the Quidditch game balls; although they weren’t an exact replica, they tried to reflect them quite well. Would you dare to catch the Golden Snitch?

The coffee shop also had a shelf filled with items related to the Harry Potter story; one of them was the Daily Prophet. This space was very striking and immersive. I took many photos of this place.

There were also other attractive elements. Brooms, clocks, phones, and curtains that made the coffee's shop interior decoration maintain a good concept.

I walked towards the back of the coffee shop, and the ceiling was decorated just like the "Great Hall" at Hogwarts. It was beautiful. For some people, it may seem simple, but for me, it's captivating and I appreciate it.

The coffee shop is not wide; it’s rather long. In the center, there were the wands of some of the characters from the story. The ones missing were Hermione’s, Dumbledore’s, and Minerva McGonagall’s. By the way, even the bathroom was decorated with the same Harry Potter style; there were even socks (you know, there are definitely ghosts there).

I managed to take a photograph of the portrait of Minerva McGonagall; although Maggie Smith passed away last year, she played her character very well. McGonagall is one of my favorite characters from Harry Potter, especially because of the brutal spell: Piertotum Locomotor. If you're a Harry fan, you know what that scene meant.

At the back of the coffee shop, there were many striking elements that maintained the essence and concept. I value every detail of the place.

I sat at the front of the coffee shop with my brother and uncle. The waitress served us and remembered that we had been to the coffee shop before, but left because there was no electricity. She handed us the menu, and all the desserts had names related to the Harry Potter story. I liked that.

We ordered three cappuccinos and three portions of Expecto Patronum, a cake, according to the waitress, made of triple chocolate. Our order, she said, would take about ten minutes. During that time, we took some photos.

After the specified time, the waitress brought the three coffees, two Expecto Patronum cakes to eat at the coffee, and one to go.

23.jpg

What caught my attention: the coffee was served in a very large cup with a small and charming spoon. As for the Expecto Patronum, the spoon looked like a magic wand; it was too big. I liked that detail.

I drank the coffee without sugar, and it was delicious. The waitress asked if I liked it, but I didn’t give a clear answer. However, their coffee is delicious. The flavor was well-balanced, and the presentation was very clean.

I must emphasize that Expecto Patronum is the best triple chocolate cake I've ever had. It wasn’t too sweet; the three types of chocolate were balanced, which made it not overly sugary.

This coffee shop is beautiful; every detail inside reflects perfectly the magic and identity of Harry Potter. Also, drinking coffee here and having a delicious dessert isn't that expensive. I spent a total of 17 USD (or HBD), which I paid in Venezuelan legal tender. I hope you get to visit it and experience the magic.
