Summer is over... The last warm days are passing in Turkey. I always feel nostalgic before winter comes. Looking at the photos, I remember spring and the best moments of my #TheLongestTrip. That's how it all started when we first arrived in Turkey in March. And for the first time we came to an unrealistically majestic place - Kesme Bogazi canyon, near Kemer.
It was still very cold. I rented my first car for my birthday on March 19th and we went exploring the mountains!
It was truly a revelation! Across the river was a bridge over a waterfall, , which formed a deep lake as it fell. And there was a cafe on wooden stilts over a rushing stream!
I always admired this structure, which was attached to the rock by wooden beams in some amazing way. And with trepidation we climbed onto the multi-colored cushions, where we sat like Turkish and drank tea.
The first acquaintance with Jacob - the owner and creator of this creative cafe. The first coffee in Turkish, sitting on Turkish pillows barefoot, looking into the abyss and listening to the sound of water falling from a height! These impressions live in my heart and evoke pleasant nostalgic feelings in my soul...
Thanks @leaky20 and @millycf1976 for creating a great community Cinnamon Cup Coffee for good coffee lovers :)
We liked to order a traditional Turkish dish there - pide. It is a pizza-like bread baked with cheese.
The Turkish tea here was especially delicious. In classic glass cups, which warmed hands on a wet March evening above the waterfall.
And it was also nice to receive a bonus - Turkish aromatic cookies 🍪
Later, when the evenings became warm and the water warmed up in the natural pools, we often came here to swim and sunbathe, and then drank tea or coffee, enjoying relaxation to the sound of the mountain river.
While @bugavi and I were drinking coffee over the raging stream, our @darine.darine was having fun! She was climbing the rocks between the streams and going down the rock slide :)
We are currently in Cesme, Turkey. We stopped in this small historic town to rest from our busy travels and enjoy the last warm days on the Aegean Sea...
Our #TheLongestTrip continues and I thank everyone who reads about our adventures 🙂
Wow that spot looks like an incredible place to have a coffee or Turkish tea. The cookies look good too.
That is some view!
Oh yeah! This is truly a place that has forever left incredible feelings in mi soul!
You look very comfortable to be in this place, a beautiful weekend
I want to go back to Kemer because of this place. Thank you for your comment 😊
😅😅, With pleasure ma'am🙏💪
I remember the post and the place. It was your early days in Kemer, when I have started to read your posts.
Where will you head from Çeşme?
Oh, it's nice that you remember! You have been commenting on my posts since the very beginning of our journey :) It would be nice to meet you!
Now we plan to go to Kemer for two months and apply for a residence permit there.
That's good, but I would prefer Aegean :)
Why do you prefer the Aegean Sea?
Not as deep and salty as mediterrenian sea :) Also, there are two alike neighbouring countries share this sea despite the conflicts from time to time.
Constant strong winds on the Aegean Sea do not allow you to enjoy the warmth. In addition, the rocky bottom on the wild beaches does not allow you to enter the sea safely. Very shallow at a distance of 100 meters - this is also a minus!
In the vicinity of Kemer, where I was - the Mediterranean Sea has all the advantages: the absence of a strong cold wind, the beach - small pebbles, deep immediately!
I think the mediterraean sea gets deep after a few steeps as well.
I love the view too and I would love to have a cup of tea there too.. Seems like your girls love the place too. They are really beautiful 😊
My youngest daughter Daryna was constantly running between waterfalls, as if in a water park!
Hello @olga.maslievich
This is incredible. YEs! I would like to drink coffee over a raging mountain.
It's truly amazing all the spectacular places you've been to so far on your travels.
Have a lovely Sunday:)
Thank you. I am glad if my story evoked good emotions in you!
What a fantastic place! You can even go down to the river and enjoy the water. I'd probably take my coffee there and lots of pide and enjoy them while soaking my feet in the water :D
Oh yeah! Good idea about the beer :)
Absolutely spectacular! I would have loved to experience the tea ceremony in a location like this one. Or a Turkish coffee! 😄
The tea ceremony left the most impressions in my soul!
Very comfortable place to relax, healthy always my dear mother😘
Thank you. I'm glad you liked 💞
Яка краса! Ви ще по-літньому, а ми вже замерзаємо!)))) Гарного вам відпочинку!!!
Дякую! Але взимку в Туреччині ми теж не погріємось :) Треба летіти в теплі краї !
