A beautiful flower before the coffee
On this occasion, I will tell you about a wonderful experience I had a few days ago when a friend invited me to see the coffee plantation he had been tending.
I must say that it was a wonderful and enriching experience. In addition, it was at a time when the coffee plantations gave rise to a wonderful spectacle that made us admire the beauty of nature in all its splendor.
I must confess that I felt lucky to witness this beautiful spectacle, which many do not know about. I can include myself. A few years ago, I wouldn't have thought that coffee trees could create such a wonder.
Well, I will begin to tell you about my experience. The weekend was approaching, and as always, I would dedicate it to resting from the hustle and bustle of the week. My plans were to read, write, and spend quality time with my family.
I was in relaxed mode, and suddenly, a call came to my cell phone. It was an old friend I hadn't seen for a long time. We chatted for a while and caught up on the events of each other's lives. Of course, a cup of coffee by my side was a must.
After talking for a long time, he asked me about my plans for the weekend, so my answer was nothing special. He invited me to visit some coffee plantations that he was taking care of since the sprouting of the beans was approaching.

I responded that I would like to see the plantations. Meanwhile, curiosity began to invade me. We set the time and day to leave. Sunday was the day selected for the visit, so without further ado, we started the adventure.
Upon arrival, the coffee bushes invaded the panorama. The majestic green filled the horizon as far as the eye could see. After inspecting some of the bushes, he took me somewhere the flower had already sprouted.
I marveled, especially at the purple flowers. The smell emanated was intoxicating. I asked him why didn't all the bushes bloom at the same time. He told me that this was due to the irregular rains due to climate change.

The problem is that the bushes bear fruit at different times. For this reason, coffee growers collect the ripe fruits early to prevent them from being damaged. Once the deflowering begins, a small knot called a carpel remains, which, after months, will become a beautiful coffee fruit.
I enjoyed this experience because I had never seen a coffee flower so close. Luckily, I take some photographs for our beloved coffee group. That day, I learned a little more about my beloved coffee.
The only thing that saddened me was not being able to take the purple flower. The truth is that I loved it too much. My friend said that I should not touch them, much less pluck them, because that would affect the future fruit. Moreover, we could not stay there for long so as not to disturb the plants because all that would affect the production of coffee from the bush.
At that moment, I realized that this whole process has its own science, and coffee growers have been developing this knowledge for a long time. The result of all their experience is excellent quality beans that they offer to consumers.
To conclude, I arrived home satisfied with the exciting experience and the beautiful flower that I witnessed—that flower that becomes the most delicious nectar that enchants millions and makes us coffee lovers. And you guessed it, to close the day, I prepared a coffee. I like it strong and without much sugar.
