How to Get to Cafe Sands?
Cafe Sands is easily accessible from Cebu City. From the North Terminal of SM City Cebu, just take a bus bound for Carmen, Catmon, or Sogod; as long as it's a passenger bus that stops in Danao City. Once in Danao, get off at Sands Gateway Mall or Jollibee Danao which is just next to the mall. When you get off, Cafe Sands is easy to find because it is located on the ground level of the mall, near Danao Port and across from Santo Tomas de Villanueva Parish.
Ambiance and Layout of the Cafe
When you step inside Cafe Sands, you are immediately greeted with a clean and modern design. With their newly-renovated layout, I immediately noticed a big change since my first visit. The theme of the cafe used to be white, but now, it has been enhanced with gray and brown colors that bring a more cozy and relaxing ambiance.
“What a great vibe!” that's the first thing my boyfriend said when we entered the cafe. Since we like to study and relax in quiet places, this is perfect for us. The surroundings are quiet, and when we went there in the afternoon, we were the only customers so it felt like we had our own private spot. It's really boyfriend-approved, I can tell.
What We Ordered: Coffee and Comfort Food
A visit to a cafe isn't complete without coffee, so we ordered their latte—a hot one for him and a cold one for me. We both enjoyed the taste, but we asked for more sugar to get the right sweetness we wanted. We just laughed because it looked like we were too used to sweet coffees in other cafes.
Besides the coffee, we also tried their ham and cheese sandwich, and I can say that it is well worth it. The ham and cheese blend was delicious, and the bread was cooked to perfection. I can't help but give it a 10/10 because it's so delicious.
Suitable Place for Study Dates
One of the things we liked about Cafe Sands is the ambiance which is perfect for study dates. Being both studious, we appreciated the tranquility and orderliness of the place. The tables are spacious, there is enough light for reading, and there are outlets that can be used if a laptop or phone needs to be charged.
Even though the area is quiet, you won't feel bored because there are beautiful views outside, the Danao coast that gives a relaxing vibe while you study or enjoy a coffee.

One of the important details to keep in mind if you plan to visit Cafe Sands is their store hours:
Monday – Closed
Tuesday to Thursday – 10 AM to 7 PM
Friday to Sunday – 11 AM to 8 PM

I've been here once, but we couldn't order anything at the time because it was too crowded. We ended up leaving and looking for another café in the area instead. But the place is so nice!!
