Have you ever planned something for a day and you ended up not doing anything? I certainly have.
I could remember one weekend. It was on a Saturday and that day, it seems like I can't catch a break.
I woke up, stretching my hands and legs as I dragged myself up from the bed. I went into the ladies room and splashed some water on my face as a big yawn took over me.
I went back into the room, said my morning prayer and made a mental list of things I wanted to do that day which includes some washing and cleaning.
Well, I knew I needed some coffee to get me started, So I dragged myself into the kitchen, boiled some water in the kettle and opened the kitchen cabinet where I usually keep my stash of instant coffee but found none. I opened it further and searched for any beverage but I couldn't find a single one.
“Oh My, I can't believe I have run out of coffee”,I said to myself, groaning and pouting.
I looked outside from the window and saw the sky looking gloomy. “At least we have that in common”, I scoffed.
I took the jar where I store my coffee beans and put it back. “What were you expecting?”, I said to myself. I knew I was out of coffee beans so I don't know if I was expecting some sort of miracle in the form of a jar full of coffee beans.
I checked the time and it was 7:00 in the morning. No grocery shop would be open around me at that time. I thought of waiting a while for the shops to open so I could quickly get some instant coffee.
I quickly took some cereal and as soon as I was done, it started to rain heavily. No!Today isn't going as planned because it felt like the rain was sent to make me feel terribly more than I was feeling. I planned to wash some clothes, but then seeing as it was raining, I doubt if that would be possible anymore.
I went back to my bed and curled myself in it, the thundering roar of the rain reverberating around me as I dragged my bed cloth upward to cover my chest.
I tried not to think about my inability to get at least a cup of coffee that morning and thought about finding other ways to lighten my mood. I took my phone and proceeded to watch some reels on Instagram but then I started seeing some coffee videos and it felt like my nostrils were catching the scent of the coffee right from my phone.
I dropped my phone and took the book I had been reading from and continued from where I stopped.
….. Andy asked, pouring himself some coffee from the mug.
I rolled my eyes, feeling jealous of the fictional character in the novel who was able to take coffee where I couldn't. I read the book for a few more minutes before dropping it.
I went back into the kitchen to prepare some food but it seems like I was forcing myself to do so as I wasn't finding any joy in cooking the food. After eating, I watched some movies on my phone and slept off afterwards.
I woke up again by mid afternoon, the rain had stopped then but I wasn't feeling motivated to do anything. As I sat up, while still on the bed, I realized that the whole morning went by without me doing anything productive.
Even so, the groggy feeling remained and I knew I wasn't going to get anything done that day. “I will do it tomorrow”, I said aloud. But there is something I needed to do to prevent this day repeating itself tomorrow. I quickly dressed up, grabbed my keys and went off to get my coffee restocked.

Thank you for having me.
Coffee in the morning is necessary. See the way your day slowed down without it.
Please quickly re-stock on your coffee
I really don't like starting my day without coffee.
Thank you for coming around.
You're welcome
Wow, coffee can make or break one's day. Your day took a big detour because you ran out of it. I hate when that happens. Oh well thank fully you left to go get some.
Yes, I am glad I went to restock as I wouldn't want the same thing repeating itself.
Thank you for reading
