Night With V60

Hello guys....

It's been quite a while since the last time I went and hung out at the cafe, lately I've been busy with my work. That's why last night I decided to go to a cafe called Kopi Bel, drinking coffee and relaxing was what I needed at the time.

This cafe is quite comfortable with a simple design, the place is quite spacious with an open room, yes this cafe is located in the yard of a fairly large house. This cafe doesn't have many decorations, and there is also live music here.

The menu choices here are quite a lot, ranging from various choices of drinks and of course there is also food. There are various choices of coffee, tea, juice, and others, and for the food there is baray food, Japanese food and of course Indonesian food.

And this time I will only order drinks, and the drink I ordered is a choice of manual brew, V60 with the coffee used is Gayo coffee. Actually this is my first time trying V60, I've never been interested in trying it before, but for some reason this time I'm in the mood to try it.

V60 is one method of brewing coffee manually, this method is done by slowly pouring hot water in a circular motion around the top coffee grounds on the top of the coffee maker. But what is served here is not in the brewing process, but the coffee has been placed in an erlenmeyer glass (I don't know what this is called for those who make coffee, but as a chemistry major I will call it like this).

And the coffee I chose was Gayo coffee, actually they have many choices of coffee but what was available at that time was only this Gayo coffee. Gayo coffee is an arabica coffee variety which is one of the leading commodities originating from the Gayo Highlands, Central Aceh, Indonesia. This is a coffee that is already very famous in Indonesia and even the world. This coffee has a taste that is not too bitter, and when I read the description it said that this coffee has a low acidity level, but for some reason I always feel that this coffee has a rather sour taste.

Now let's talk about the taste of this drink, it's delicious. although as I already mentioned that this coffee has a slightly sour taste, it is still delicious. This coffee is not too bitter, although without adding sugar it can be drunk by anyone. And actually I don't really understand what the difference in taste from this V60 method is to other methods, but what is certain is that the drink I ordered was delicious, and it was better than I thought.

This is about my last night, hanging out at the cafe after a long time, and trying the drink menu that I've never tried before, it's fun.

erlenmeyer glass

That it what I know it as, as well. Erlenmeyer Flask would be another variation I think.

looks like it's still called erlenmeyer 😄
