I needed to do some shopping, including buying coffee (I was running low and I'm terrified of waking up and not having any). I went to Automercado Plaza's, located in Guatire/Estado Miranda near the Residences where I live.
I arrived directly to the shelves where they display the different brands of Coffee, after going through all of them with my eyes, I realized that there was not the one I buy most of the time which is "EL AMANECER", although I like to explore and know different brands to be able to compare one with the other. But that day I was looking for El Amanecer.
A lady who was also looking for coffee and I think she noticed the anguish on my face, asked me what I was looking for, we talked for a while and she recommended me this coffee that is a promotion of the supermarket with the same name "CAFË PLAZA'S.
Trusting in that lady's taste and even though the price was the same as the others, it did not have any kind of discount even though it was promoted by the auto market, I decided to buy it. On the package it says that it is a roasted and ground Gourmet coffee, I bought a small one of 200 grams.
When I finished all my purchases I went home, that same day I didn't try it, I still had some of the other one left.
The coffee ran out and I uncovered that one to prepare it as I do every day to accompany my breakfast.
The first thing I felt was its aroma, it didn't really give off that characteristic smell of a good coffee, I was already a little disappointed, but I didn't want to anticipate that it was bad, so I prepared it with the same measures I usually add in my greca and took it to the stove.
After some time, when it was ready, its aroma did not awaken in me that incredible sensation that awakens the aroma of coffee and makes us go immediately to serve it to taste it, however I looked for my cup that I use daily and served it to accompany my breakfast.
When I tasted it I was very disappointed, it is a strong and bitter coffee for my taste, (of course on the package it says that it is a roasted and ground coffee), I thought it was the amount of water that I put in it and surely too much coffee (although the measures were the same that I always use), I prepared the greca again with less coffee powder and the truth is that I didn't like it either.
Some people like that kind of coffee, but not me, it tastes burnt to me. As a last test I added powdered milk and the truth is that its flavor improved notably.
I went to buy the coffee that I use frequently, and the other I just leave it only to prepare it with milk, adding some cinnamon or chocolate powder (if I have it) to improve its flavor.
The one I use frequently.
Since it was a trial I bought the smaller 200 gram package, so I didn't lose much money. I really would NOT buy it again, so I do NOT recommend it to my friends.
That is the risk that one runs when changing the brand of coffee, but challenges must be faced, that is how we can get to know new brands of coffee to delight ourselves with the ones we like.
Thank you for coming here my coffee friends of this beautiful Community. We will continue to share our experiences and anecdotes with this incredible friend and companion of life "COFFEE".

My husband bought a coffee with the same thing on the package. The colour of the coffee was a very dark brown. I liked it though because I like strong coffee.
However, I think you made the right choice to save it when adding milk or cinnamon. Or you could mix it with another coffee:)
Hi Milly, of course I do not lose that coffee, I use it as you say, mixed with another and especially for coffee with milk, because its flavor is strong, too bad we are not closer to give it to you, because you if you like strong coffee, hahahaha...😃😘 Thank you for your comment...
