La semana pasada tuvimos la dicha de celebrar dos cumpleaños muy importantes en nuestra familia🎂, uno era el de mi padre el cual cumplió 65 años y el otro era el de mi hermana que cumplió 40.
Como cumplen años en el mismo mes, mi papá el 18 de agosto y mi hermana el 28, decidimos hacer una sola reunión el fin de semana.
Tenía ya tres años que no disfrutaba pasar un cumpleaños con ellos, así que me alegró mucho poder planificar estas fechas para poder hacerlo este año, así que en vista de la ocasión organizamos una pequeña celebración durante el día del domingo, con los familiares y amigos más cercanos.
Como el cumpleaños de mi hermana cayó justo el día domingo, decidimos aprovechar para celebrarlo el mismo día, pensando así en disfrutar de una comida, bebidas hasta temprano ya que al día siguiente comenzaba una nueva semana y muchos teníamos que trabajar.
Last week we had the joy of celebrating two very important birthdays in our family🎂, one was my father's 65th birthday and the other was my sister's 40th birthday. Since they both have birthdays in the same month, my father on August 18th and my sister on the 28th, we decided to have a single gathering on the weekend.
It had been three years since I had enjoyed spending a birthday with them, so I was very happy to be able to plan these dates to be able to do it this year, so in view of the occasion we organized a small celebration during the day on Sunday, with the closest family and friends.
As my sister's birthday fell on Sunday, we decided to celebrate it on the same day, so we thought we would enjoy a meal and drinks until early in the morning, since the next day was the start of a new week and many of us had to work.
Hicimos mucha comida para picar y en esta oportunidad el protagonista fue el pescado, elaboramos ceviche así como filetes de pescado empanizado y para acompañarlos preparamos algunos cocteles con los cuales algunos se excedieron un poco 😅 y no era para menos, pues hacía muchísimo calor.
A pesar de que habíamos planificado disfrutar durante el día ya que había que trabajar al día siguiente, la celebración terminó extendiéndose hasta pasadas las seis de la tarde y como realmente la estábamos pasando muy bien y aún quedaba mucha comida y bebida por repartir, decidimos continuar.
Así que para mejorar la cuestión, decidimos compartir un poco de café, es normal que en nuestras fiestas familiares siempre esté presente esta bebida, así como nos tomamos el tiempo para planificar que bebidas y cocteles se repartirán durante la celebración, el momento para compartir un café también juega un papel muy importante.
We made a lot of finger food and this time the protagonist was fish, we made ceviche as well as breaded fish fillets and to accompany them we prepared some cocktails with which some people went a little overboard 😅 and it was not for less, because it was very hot.
Although we had planned to enjoy ourselves during the day since we had to work the next day, the celebration ended up extending until after six in the afternoon and since we were really having a great time and there was still a lot of food and drinks to be distributed, we decided to continue.
So to make the matter better, we decided to share some coffee, it is normal that in our family parties this drink is always present, just as we take the time to plan which drinks and cocktails will be distributed during the celebration, the moment to share a coffee also plays a very important role.
Tal vez a algunos les parezca raro, pero debo decir que tomar café en nuestras celebraciones, es tan indispensable como partir la torta, sin contar que además de rica es milagrosa, ya que activa al más decaído de la fiesta. Así que ya faltando pocas horas para dar por terminada nuestra fiesta, habiendo consumido alcohol y otras bebidas frías, muchos de nosotros buscamos algo caliente que nos reconfortara, por lo que era la hora perfecta para una taza de café.
A pesar de que pudiera parecer extraño que se sirva café en una fiesta, en nuestra familia y en nuestras celebraciones es algo muy normal e indispensable, al punto de que las personas se alegran mucho cuando nos ven venir con el termo de café recién hecho.
It may seem strange to some, but I must say that drinking coffee in our celebrations is as indispensable as breaking the cake, not to mention that besides being delicious, it is miraculous, since it activates the most depressed of the party. So, with just a few hours to go before the end of our party, having consumed alcohol and other cold drinks, many of us were looking for something hot to comfort us, so it was the perfect time for a cup of coffee.
Although it may seem strange to serve coffee at a party, in our family and in our celebrations it is something very normal and indispensable, to the point that people are very happy when they see us coming with a thermos of freshly brewed coffee.
Mi familia es así, cuando empezamos a repartir café a los pocos minutos muchos estaban activos y con ganas de seguir la celebración, este café que se prepara en estas ocasiones en un café bastante caliente y bien cargado, preferiblemente sin azúcar, nada exagerado, una tacita pequeña es suficiente para animar al más apático, aunque confieso que algunos invitados necesitan más de dos tazas para poder revivir🤣.
Sin importar la ocasión el café siempre formará parte importante de todas nuestras celebraciones, es una bebida que reconforta y con la cual no hace falta hacer preguntas, de si quieres o no, simplemente es la bebida perfecta a cualquier hora y en cualquier ocasión.
My family is like that, when we started to distribute coffee a few minutes later many were active and eager to continue the celebration, this coffee that is prepared on these occasions in a very hot and well charged coffee, preferably without sugar, nothing exaggerated, a small cup is enough to encourage the most apathetic, although I confess that some guests need more than two cups to revive🤣.
No matter the occasion, coffee will always be an important part of all our celebrations, it is a drink that comforts and with which there is no need to ask questions, whether you want it or not, it is simply the perfect drink at any time and on any occasion.
Y como aún faltaba cantar cumpleaños🎂 por partida doble, después de tomar café los invitados se encontraban activos para seguir disfrutando y cantar con mucho entusiasmo el cumpleaños feliz para así terminar la fiesta deleitándonos con un pedazo de torta.
And since there was still a birthday🎂 to sing and twice, after drinking coffee the guests were active to continue enjoying and singing with much enthusiasm the happy birthday to finish the party delighting us with a piece of cake.

I find very interesting the inclusion of fish in a party, normally it does not happen but it is a delicacy little appreciated.
By the way, when you said you also included coffee, Arjona's song was playing in the background, Señoraa haha.
Whether fish is a good choice depends on how you present it.
