Why make a dedicated community for it?
Because why not? it's easy to learn a language when you're with people that are motivated in learning the same thing as you. There's feedback and community encouragement along with it.
What this community is about:
- Where you can share Japanese words or phrases especially the ones that most people don't know or those that are good for people to know
- Where you can share posts about your experiences in learning the Japanese
- Where you can share tips and tricks in learning Japanese
- Welcome to all Hivers willing to learn Japanese regardless of the language's proficiency
What this community is NOT:
- We're not a curation community. There are no guarantees for visibility or votes when you post here.
- A page where you share your travels in Japan as the main point of your post's content. There are communities out there that are best suited for travel blogs. This is a page for studying a language. If the main idea of your post is not about learning the language or just includes it in tangent, this community page isn't the right place for you.
- A page where you can share your love for anime or manga. Consider posting it in The Anime Realm community instead.
- Exclusive to English to Japanese posts. Any other language translated to Japanese is welcome though we might not understand it. We would appreciate to have an English version but if it can't be helped, there's no problem.
- A copy pasta of translations that you can find in the internet. As much as possible, share not only the word and its translation but also its usage, your opinions or tips about it, or anything that makes learning or memorizing fun.
The rules stated will be modified as the need arises.
