Today, i woke up late, still feeling dizzy. I guess it was a result of the party I kept last night.
Yesterday was my brother's daughter naming ceremony.I had to travel from one state to another just to be present at the occasion; It was a must for me attend and of course I made it there on time as the father of the occasion since our parents are no longer alive. I had to do what is necessary so as to fill the vacuum which I did, and I'm grateful the event was gracious that witness many people in attendance, kith an kin and other well wisers.
In my country, my tribe to be precise. We celebrate a naming ceremony a week after a child is born, be it male or female. It is a must even if one of the parents is not around. They will have to name the child 'abidemi' meaning conceive during my sojourning.
My brother had informed me couple of weeks to the child's birth. It was for us to prepare ahead of time, though he had more to do as the father, but I had to support as well. He had earlier bought basic things needed for the baby as well as the mother which I commended him for doing even though it was his duty as a father.
It was for the party I powerdown some steems, however I couldn't make the withdraw because of the bear market as against the bull runs we had witness couple of weeks ago.
it is sad anyway with the recent news all over the place about steemit, steem being bought. I never stop asking what I think will be the future of blockchain like this, whether it is going to remain decentralized as we have known ever though, we still have witnesses representing our interest, but it is not bad. Is it? Compared to having a centralized society where power will be concentrated on a single individual or set of people at the center, determining what is good for us without taking into cognisance the voice of the majority.
I listened to the conversation between Ned, the propose founder of steemit and the potential owner Justinsun. All they said, was just some story about how steem and tron was founded and a bit of the reason why they both had the ideas about the two organization. I just hope everything works well after the suppose meeting planed to be held by march 6.
