The children will be provided lunch at all primary schools across the country by 2021. At present, upazilas are being provided with dry and cooked food. Instead, the government has finalized the proposal to provide only dry food. The allocation for lunch for each child has been estimated at Tk 25 to 22. The Cabinet meeting has been included in the agenda for ratification of 'National School Mill Policy-20' in this regard.

In the context of 'National School Mill Policy-20', Primary and Mass Education Secretary Akram-al-Hussein said that at present, some of the schools of the 8 Upazilas are being experimentally provided with cooked and dried food. The percentage of students enrolled in these schools has been confirmed. The attendance rate has increased by 3-5% compared to the previous one.
In schools where cooked food is being served, the attendance rate has increased by 5 percent and dry food (biscuit) has increased by 7 percent. The rate of blood loss of the students has decreased by 5.7 percent and 5.7 percent respectively. The dropout rate of students in these schools has also decreased by 5.7 percent. So we have decided that in the current tenure of the government, all primary school students in the country will be served lunch.

It is thought to provide dry food (eggs, bananas and quality biscuits) in various complexes. In that case the decisions that the policy makers of the government will make will be implemented. Asked how the cost of the project would be spent, the secretary said that the proposed food was mentioned in the proposed policy. Each year it is estimated to cost about Tk 1 billion. The World Food Program (WFP) is currently funding. However, the project will be implemented in the government's money in the future. The Development Project Proposal (DPP) will be finalized in December this year. It will offer both cooked and dried foods. Action will be taken as per the preference of the upper palace of the government. DPP is being made for an allocation of Tk.

The proposed policy states that all children from pre-primary and primary school going countries will be covered under the school uniform policy in a short period of time.
They can be properly maintained for their education, nutrition, health and social security. This program will help to reduce the gap between the village and the city, rich and poor, by increasing the quality of education.
Students will play a role in the pursuit of talent, develop the power of thinking and imagination, creativity and become skilled and capable human resources. This will contribute to the enrollment of all elementary level students, increase attendance, concentrate on lessons and maintain school.

Regarding the nutrition of the children, it says that children of the age group of 5 to 12 years will be guaranteed a minimum of 5 percent of their daily energy needs. All students of the school will be guaranteed 7 days a week with cooked meals and one day high quality biscuits.
