Goodday everyone. It's #SublimeSunday by @c0ff33a . We are at the God's Heritage children church today. There is always something exciting about our Sunday service. Maybe because it's a children church and we always have a story to tell.
Our topic today speaks about "Assurance of Salvation." The text reading was in the book of Luke chapter 19 verses 1 to 10. The story of how Zaccheaous, a short man that climb up a tree just to be able to see Jesus was saved was read and narrated to the children.
And a chart of a Sinful Man was used as an illustration.
It explains how a sinful Man wants to move to the HolyGod but there was no bridge to Cross the Gap to the HolyGod. The sin of the man is keeping him away from God.The Man put in Good works, Religion and Morality. But that still not bridge the gap between the sinful Man and the HolyGod. But then the sinful Man got the revelation of 1 peter chapter chapter 3 verse 18 which says" For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous and the unrighteous,to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by spirit." With the message of the Cross, he was able to Cross the gap to God as Jesus Christ being the only way.
The children were taught the benefits of being saved, what happens if they were not saved and what to do to be saved. They were guided on how to make salvation decisions. John 5:24 was given as the memory verse.
