We had a walk in Farley Wood which is quite local to us. We parked on the roadside and walked through the gate that took us straight into the wood.
It's quite a good sized wood. You can choose from a few footpaths, including gravel tracks that are better to walk on when it's muddy.
The Peak District is a good place to watch the sunrise and the sunset, usually up in the hills. However, sunset wasn't too bad on the edge of the wood tonight. It looked as though the moors were on fire.
We aren't usually this late walking around the woods, but it was all worth it, just to see the sun going down. Don't ask me to get up early though!
This post is for #sublimesunday inspired by @c0ff33a and #beautifulsunday initiated by @ace108.
I would choose to avoid the mud for sure.
