Can you guess how many times I visited this place?
No, it was not just once but twice. For me, you're travel in Negros Oriental is not complete without the chance of dipping in the hot spring in Valencia, Negros Oriental, and as the picture shows, the name of the hot spring is Red Rock Hot Spring. I think it would be a waste of time not to visit the Red Rock Hot Spring.
The first travel was in December 2023. We had a funny experience of this hot spring. My cousin asked our other cousin about what are the spots that we needed to visit in Negros, and he told us that one of the tourist spots is "Pulang Bato Hot Spring". I was so excited when I found out about it because it would be my first time swimming in a hot spring. After all, our town only has cold spring.
When my husband searched for the location of "Pulang Bato Hot Spring, it could not be found on Google Maps but only on the Red Rock Hot Spring. As he analyzed the result he laughed at himself because the English word for "Pulang Bato" is "Red Rock" so, the Red Rock Hot Spring is the same as what my cousin told us. Only my husband realized it first because he was the one assigned to the destination and when we started traveling to Pulang Bato Hot Spring, we saw a sign for Red Rock Hot Spring, we did realize that we already arrived at the destination since as our cousin told us, it is "Pulang Bato" but later on, we laughed on ourselves, because Red Rock is the English word for Pulang Bato.
We loved the place and also my husband since he prefers hot springs compared to cold springs. He cannot survive with too much cold he only lasts for 10 minutes but in the cold spring, he lasts for more than an hour.
The feeling of having an opportunity to swim for the first time in the hot spring was sublime. It is the reason why I posted it here in the community.
