Few days back when I was in Ahmedabad, this is about that time. The city had a beautiful flower show going on. On the evening I reached, when I was heading home from the station, on the way I saw one of the gardens completely lit up with fancy lights and it was not the usual thing, it was all bright and gave a very good display even from far. On reaching home, I checked with my sister, what it was. She told me that it's the Flower show that has been going on. I only had 3 days, but I made it a point to remove time and visit.
On the birthday morning, I decided to visit the garden. I was free and everyone was home since it was a Sunday, so everyone agreed to join. I was expecting something good in that show, but yet did not have very great expectations. But I was taken by surprise on the scale that it was done. It was far beyond my expectations and a very beautiful presentation. The show did say Ahmedabad International Flower show and it did keep up to it's branding. It truly was a one of that level, where it can attract people from all over the world just to watch this one show.
The show started on 5th January and ended on 22nd January. I was lucky to be there during this time to see the show. The show was huge so I am sharing the pictures in 3 blogs, else it will be an overload of images.

I think the level of craftsmanship that went into this festival is really wonderful. The lotus flower is probably my favourite decoration so far, the yellow is vibrant and fits well with the atmosphere.
