It all started out fine!
That was last Sunday at a new Mexican joint in town. To be honest I don't go out to eat very often. Perhaps I am too cheap, but I am quite content to make meals that I enjoy exactly how I want them when I want them at home. However when a new restaurant pops up, especially a Mexican food one as I have a real weakness for Mexican food, I am not above giving it a try. I was quite impressed the food was outstanding and a fair value for these inflationary times that we find ourselves in.
But the good times were not to be for long. Within 24 hours first Ben was sick with what I can just guess as being norovirus. I tried to care for him wearing a n95 masking fervently washing machine but within a day or so I too fell victim to the black plague! TMI I know but it has been 25 years or more since I have vomited, but I made up for it over the past few days I can assure you. Now the real question is whether it is fair to blame the restaurant for our near demise. I should add that we also went to Kroger after eating that evening so there is a possibility of catching it there I suppose. Funny thing is that it had been since pre-covid times that I was going out to eat quite often. Perhaps I should follow my inclination to save the money and just prepare my own food in the comfort of my own home and not risk it. As the saying goes, sometimes the pleasure just ain't worth all the pain.

I love Mexican food once a while but they are not cheap here so no something I'd get often.
One of my friend was supposed to join us for lunch with our pickleball gang and he couldn't come as he had diarrhea after having some sushi the night before.
All of these bugs ate taking the fun out of going out in public.
Yikes ! The plague !
