For this week's #sublimesunday, as inspired by @c0ff33a, we took a family walk around our neighborhood to take in the sights. At this point of the year, the sights include changing leaves and Halloween decorations. Certainly a good time of the year!
Most of the maple trees have already turned; there are some other trees too that are in the process of changing. The colors in the area are a splash of an autumn-themed rainbow.
Most of the time in years past I dreaded fall; fall means raking, and I dread raking. Leaves and gusts of wind...absolutely dreadful. Now, however, I don't actually mind being outside and raking the leaves on the ground. It still can be a pain, but hey, it's not snow!
There were also a few Halloween decorations out, and our favorite ones had to be the spiders on the trees...Hattie likes to run away from spiders on the trees...
More decorations are likely on the way, so in the meantime, it's simply enough to enjoy the colors of the trees that we are fortunate enough to live so close to. I would imagine in a few weeks' time, most of the leaves will have fallen leaving skeletons behind. That might be worth another photo walk session with the family...but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still have a few weeks of autumn here.
Another fun Sunday family walk in the books! I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as we did taking them. More to come soon; thanks for reading, and I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday too.
thank you @brumest and @qurator ! I'm happy to know the colors were appreciated!
