✨WHAT IS A CHAIN⛓️ & COMBO 🔃CARD ABILITY⚔️?

UNDERSTANDING CHAIN ⛓️ & COMBO 🔃CARD ⚔️ABILITIES

Some Axie abilities work either when played in a chain or combo
The requirement may be on using the same Axie class of cards or it can be non Axie class specific, and these requirements for each ability is specifically mentioned on each card & will only work if the rule is followed correctly- let me explain that in detail:

HOW TO PLAY A CHAIN ⛓️ ABILITY:

In the example below- We want to activate the Cute Bunny or Fear ability - where in once fear has been applied to an opponent they will miss their attacks for two turns!

image.png

In order to successfully activate this ability - you need to have the Cute Bunny played only in 'CHAIN' with another Bug card from one of your other axies on your team & not a bug card from the same axie -(highlighted in the yellow box in the picture above)- as Cute Bunny belongs to a Bug Axie Class it does not necessarily need to be another cute bunny card it can be any bug class card it does not matter as long as its on another axie on your team & not this same very axie that has the cute bunny ability, also after you put up ur cards, and the supporting snail shell axie is killed by the opponent - the fear ability will still be valid & will be activated when you attack as the system has already registered the chain play.

So I use the Snail Shell card from my first axie & then I play the Cute Bunny card on my next axie:

FROM AXIE 2 - CUTE BUNNY (BUG CARD)

(preferably you want to play the cute bunny card last so that the opponent misses two attack turns -cause if you play the cute bunny first & you then play another card before your opponent then that will be counted as 1 turn used up from the fear ability that was supposed to be for ur opponent - then ur opponent will just miss only 1 attack as you have used up 1 turn already during the gameplay)

HOW TO PLAY A COMBO 🔃 ABILITY:

In this example we will see how to gain 1 energy by using a combo ability of a card - we use the card Nimo or Tail Slap to gain 1 energy -which by the way is also a Zero cost card -meaning that you do not loose an energy by playing this 0 cost card, which is something really important as you will understand the more you play this game!

So for this Nimo Card which belongs to an Aqua Axie Class to work we can use it in combination with any other Axie Class card -it does not matter even if it is a reptile class card - it will still work! what we mean by combo is this nimo card needs to be played with another card from this very same axie itself unlike what we learned above when playing a chain ability (highlighted in the red box in the picture above) So since i am already going to play a Cute Bunny Card i can just add on the nimo card to that gameplay to get my free energy - but keeping in mind that the first card i play will be Nimo not Cute Bunny -to ensure my Cute Bunny does not loose value as mentioned in the Chain guide above. Once played correctly you will gain 1 free energy!
BOTH CARDS FORM THE SAME AXIE BUT DIFFERNET AXIE CLASSES CUTE BUNNY (BUG CARD) & NIMO (AQUA CARD)
