I decided to take a short break from my work in Pasay City, Metro Manila (Philippines). My plan was to go back to my birthplace in Naga City, Camarines Sur not only to have some leisure time but more importantly, to be with my family. Along with me is my wife. We travelled through a commercial bus from Pasay to Naga..
The trip was an enduring 10 hours. Thankfully we arrived safe.
At our home in Naga, we had chitchats and fun moments with my family. On the next day, me and my family had our excursion to the beach. We proceeded to Pasacao, Camarines Sur (Bicol Philippines). Pasacao is a municipality along the coast of Ragay Gulf in Southern Luzon.
For our craving stomach we brought with us some ready to eat food and some foodstuff to be cooked later at the resort.
Eating at the beachfront is a satisfying experience as you get to savor the food while breathing the fresh air and having a good view of the beach.
The beach is unique on its own. Its sand is just averagely colored, not too white and not too dark. It is not as fine as in other premier beach resorts, but it was just right due to the many good things the beach has offered us. The place is perfect for family gatherings as it is affordable.
Not so far across the sea you'll see the mountain island called "Daruanak".
For those who wanted to heighten up their experience, some locals lease their lifebuoy or "salva vida" for a minimal amount. The resort management or some locals also offers boat ride going to Daruanak Island.
The place was beautiful and rejuvinating. It was a good way for my mind and body to relax.
More than the food and the place, what made me enjoy this trip was the time I've spent for my family - the conversations, the laughter and the bonding.
Though my stay in Naga is short, it is a time well spent. Surely, I will cherish those moment while me and my wife go back to Metro Manila. It did not only made us relaxed, it also made us personally reconnect with our family - catching up to the moments when we were far away.
