Recently my mom moved to a new home, where the met a new feathered friend (or foe)
My mom, a lover of birds and nature always puts out seed and fruits for the neighbourhood birdies. For a few weeks there were countless pigeons and the odd weaver bird visiting her garden every day, waiting for their fresh seed to be put out. After a while a new little guy popped in...
This tiny little guy, no bigger than the palm of your hand has quite the attitude, when the feed is put out he flies in and completely chases away all the large pigeons... flying at them and shoving them out of the garden.
He may be the biggest bully of the garden but he is the smallest little guy ever. I didn't manage to grab a decent photo of his long, gorgeous tail but you can see how pretty it is in the first image of him hanging out on the electric fence.
I sat for a while photographing this gorgeous red beaked guy hiding in the grass, just waiting for him to fly, so I can grab a photo of his tail in motion.
Next time I visit, I am going to throw some feed out and sit with my zoom lens waiting to catch him in flight. I am not sure what bird breed this is (If anyone could help me out?) We have been calling him the long pintail bully🐦
Do you like watching birds? I love it, it is so incredibly peaceful, they are such magical and majestic creatures!

I think it is a Whydah. If so, they are well-known for this behaviour and also lay their eggs in others birds nests for them to bring up. Little trolls!
