The building on the photo might be well-known to most people. It’s the Chrysler Building in New York. It’s located on Manhattan, together with lots of other high rises. I once read that it is the tallest building in bricks, with a framework in steel. I don’t know which building has that position now. But the Chrystler building was the first skyscraper in the world, at the time it was build (1930), but after 11 months, another skyscraper was then the tallest. Today the building ranks among the National Historic Landmark. The Chrystler building was added to the list in 1976.
