On one of my trips to Lake Neusiedler I was able to take some pictures of this common weasel that crossed the street right in front of me and Stefan. We saw this weasel crossing the street so we decided to wait and hope that it will come back and cross the street again on the same spot and yes it did. We were actually wanting to take some pictures of birds that can be found there but when we saw the weasel we stopped for several minutes and waited on the street to hopefully see it again. And yes it appeared on the same spot. :-)
The weasel was well aware that we were waiting there for it and it stopped and looked at us before it crossed the street. I think it checked if we are a threat for it or not and since we didn't move it was brave enough to cross the street again.
