Sequel to my post on dandelions here, I discovered some more wildflowers on one of my walks. I wish I knew the species of these plants, but I'm yet to pinpoint their exact names.
focal length= 70mm, f/4.0, 1/125, ISO 160
This looked so much like a dandelion flower, but I think it's another species
focal length= 70mm, f/4.0, 1/125, ISO 160
focal length= 70mm, f/4.0, 1/125, ISO 125
focal length= 34.4mm, f/4.5, 1/40, ISO 500
focal length= 34.4mm, f/4.5, 1/40, ISO 640
focal length= 70mm, f/4.0, 1/125, ISO 160
focal length= 70mm, f/4.0, 1/125, ISO 160
focal length= 70mm, f/4.0, 1/125, ISO 160
All photos were taken with the Sony a7iii and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Art lens, and edited in Lightroom.
What's most impressive about this lens, apart from the sharpness and very good IQ, is the close focusing distance. Even at 70mm, I can get the lens less than a foot to my subject. It give me that creamy creamy bokeh.
I look forward to doing a proper review of my Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Art and 50mm f1.4 DG (also insanely sharp, even wide open) lenses sometime.
@stevenson7, there you have it 😄.
I should post a series of B and W portraits soon as well.
As always, brilliant photos clap.
Okay so first off, the first yellow petal is a Tuscan Gold
The second whitish one can be called Amy of these names
While the last blueish photo is Melastoma malabathricum
I was wondering, is it a personal choice to not "post process"? Cos if it is, I respect that if not, I think you should try to. They would look so much better.
Thanks for the Tag boss 😌
Enjoyed seeing your photos.

First of all... 😳👀

Are you a botanist bro?? Because, wow! 😂 I definitely learnt some new facts today. ✍🏾
Well, I did edit these photos in Lightroom, but I generally like to be minimal with it, unless I feel it may be more beneficial. If I'd incorporated the flowers into a portrait or something, I might have tweaked it more.
Ah okay, makes sense. Love the style
Also no I'm not a botanist 😅
I used Google lens albeit I know Tuscan Gold
Wawu! Never knew Google lens worked like that o. I feel like a tech illiterate 🙈
🤣🤣🤣
You day whine me boss

These are great shots. I love the bokeh of this lens.
I do too! It basically keeps my 50mm f/1.4 off my lens
