The Goat Who Stole The Show : A Fun Evening Encounter - PhotoFeed Contest Wildlife Photography Round 99.

Seasons greeting friends and happy holidays! I hope you are making the most of this yuletide. I'm taking every chance available to have an enjoyable holiday, and most importantly take good care of myself.

It's often cool here in the mornings and evenings, making them a perfect time for a walk. So on Christmas Eve evening, I went for a stroll around my neighborhood. On the way, I stumbled upon an unexpected friend - a charming goat. My evening walk had taken me through a bushy farmland. The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape.

The bird's gentle lullaby could be heard as they busied themselves collecting twigs and leaves for their nests. As if on cue, the unmistakable "maaa" of a goat followed suit, adding another rhythm to the bird's melody.

I stopped in my tracks, wondering where the sound was coming from. As if reading my thoughts, the goat emerged from the bush, looking directly at me as if to say, "Hey, what brings you down here?

Trust me not to resist capturing the moment, lol. I gave it a shot. The goat, seemingly aware of the photo shoot, struck a pose, looking straight into the camera lens.

I was amazed by its calm demeanor, almost as if it were enjoying the attention. Goats can be so dramatic, sometimes, lol.

As I finished taking photos, I bid the goat farewell, saying, "Thank you, Goatie, for posing for me!" The goat responded with another loud "maaa," which I interpreted as, "Why are you leaving me? I thought you were here to take me home!"

I chuckled and reassured it, "Sorry, Goatie, I'm not your owner. Don't worry, he'll come to pick you up soon, okay." "See ya some other time."

Still chuckling, I continued my walk, and feeling grateful for the unexpected encounter. It was a heartwarming reminder of the beauty and surprises that await us when we take the time to appreciate nature.
I may not have received any gifts this yuletide, but nature has got me covered.

Thank you for reading.
