Abstraction is an addiction!
I like the abstract forms appearing from different view angles of my daily life. Especially reflective surfaces give lots of opportunity to achieve this. Here is one of them I shot in an airport lounge. This is actually a glass top table. You can see the ceiling LEDs reflecting on it. And the base had a shiny metal surface beneath the glass top. What made this view interesting to me, is the piece of paper on the right bottom repeating the reflected lights pattern over the table. And the ceiling pattern is guiding the eye to the window. I imagined the view as if the daylight entering inside in square formed rays.
This one below is another one. I took it in the bus station. There was this stair going up beside the wall and I was outside the lounge, watching inside through the glass. When I noticed the vertical shadow stripes casted over the window, I thought it may end up with a nice frame. So I decided to wait a passenger to pass by. I took series of frames and this one I liked the most. I converted the image to black and white and inverted the colors. Finally edited it to have a soft texture.
Finally this one is from the same bus station. It was very sunny outside and the interior was dim. The window created a nice shadow gradient and I thought the emptiness of the interior vs the walking woman outside could be a good contrast among the geometric shapes. It brings me the idea of two separate worlds divided by the window frame.
I would like to take the opportunity here to participate with this last one to the @photofeed black and white contest. If you are also interested, please have a look at the contest page in the link: https://peakd.com/hive-153349/@photofeed/photofeed-contest-black-and-white-photography-round-93
