Blue
The color blue, within the luminous spectrum, is in fifth place, and since it cannot be obtained through the mixture of other colors, it is part, like red and yellow, of the group of colors called primary or primitive.
It is a tone similar to that of the sea or the sky when there are no clouds, and for this reason, the color blue is generally related to elements of nature, being linked to a sense of peace and tranquility. It also inspires feelings of friendship, loyalty, trust and security.
Among its negative connotations, blue is often associated with coldness, aloofness and lack of emotional commitment.
These photos, from my personal archive, were taken some years ago during a round trip to Puerto Cabello, a port city located in the central region of Venezuela.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
El color azul, dentro del espectro luminoso, se encuentra en el quinto lugar, y puesto que no se puede obtener a través de la mezcla de otros colores, forma parte, al igual que el rojo y el amarillo, del grupo de los colores denominados primarios o primitivos.
Se trata de un tono similar al del mar o al del cielo cuando no hay nubes, y por esta razón, el color azul suele relacionarse generalmente con elementos de la naturaleza, vinculándosele con sensación de paz y tranquilidad. Además, inspira sentimientos de amistad, lealtad, confianza y seguridad.
Entre sus connotaciones negativas, al azul suele estar vinculado con la frialdad, el distanciamiento y la falta de compromiso emocional.
Estas fotos pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, las tomé algunos años atrás durante un paseo ida y vuelta a Puerto Cabello, una ciudad portuaria situada en la región central de Venezuela.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
