When you cannot afford the opera tickets — Cuando no puedes costear la entrada a la opera (En/Es) | PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography

I am an enthusiast of the opera, and I enjoy to go the live performances whenever is possible, however it is very expensive. Vienna is one of the great centers of this art. The tickets are not only expensive, but difficult to get, since they sold out rapidly. Whenever the weather allows the opera performances are shown live by a large screen in the exterior of the opera house. However I consider that it is not possible to enjoy the opera in this way. These photos show this situation. At that moment Wagner´s “Lohengrin”, was performed.

Soy amante de la ópera, sin embargo es una afición cara. Viena es uno de los grandes centros operísticos del mundo, se ponen en escena las grandes obras clásicas de este arte y con los solistas más destacados del mundo. Ver estos espectáculos, no solo son bastante costosos, sino que es difícil conseguir los tickets, ya que estos se agotan con gran rapidez. Por lo que cuando el clima los permite se muestra en pantalla gigante la obra en las afueras de la casa de la opera de Viena. Sin embargo considero que no es posible disfrutar de la opera viéndola de esta forma. Estas fotografías captan ese momento. En esta ocasión se estaba presentando la obra de Wagner, “Lohengrin”.

The photos were taken outside of the Vienna Opera, with the camera of an iPhone 5S. The edition was done in Gimp.

La fotografía fue tomada en el exterior de la casa de la Opera en Viena, con la cámara de un iPhone 5S. La edición la efectué en Gimp.

Por cuestiones de trabajo tuve que pasar en Viena largas temporadas y nunca coincidí con esas pantallas gigantes que nos muestras. Aunque de eso hace entre 10 y 11 años. Quizás el montaje es más nuevo.

Capté esta foto hace 10 años, cuando vivía en Viena.
Que me recuerde las pantallas no estaban siempre. Esta foto fue tomada en primavera.
