I'm super excited to present you our newest weekly feature "PhotoFeed Editing Masters" - A new contest series where everyone can participate and show their editing skills. I will provide 1 RAW file every Sunday for you guys and every Saturday we will announce the winners.
The rules will be as simple as possible. You can use whatever software you like to participate in this contest. The only requirement is to only edit pictures without manipulate them by adding things like (Sky, People, Mountain etc.).
Rules
- Only edit not manipulate the image
- Post the final image in the comment section
- Mention the editing software in your comment post
- Share your own work only

Photofeed will provide 8 HIVE for every round. The prize pool can increase if people Tip on this post.
Peakd offers the feature to Send tip's for posts. 100% of the tipped Hive on this post will directly go into the prizepool. The more people tip - The higher the prizepool will be.

This is my entry, I tried to do the teal and orange effect, I've really done it once or twice, but I know it goes very well in desert pictures, so I decided to take advantage of it as much as possible to practice, I even made a video of the editing, in a few more hours I'll finish rendering it and upload it to HIVE.

I had to give it a try too :)
First edit was in Lightroom (align the horizon, color enhancing, darken the sun and sky - brighten the car a bit) and then a tiny bit of dodge and burn in Photoshop plus removing two dust spots in the sky.
I haven't added anything, but I had to delete the two bright spots behind the car because they were too distracting for me ;)

This is my entry to editing contest
I did edit in Lightroom mobile. It can be a bit dark for someone, but I like it like this 😉

Editing software like Lr give us opportunities to show our point of view.

Yes, it's dark, but it shows a warm late evening mood and the edges of the car silhouette are lit nicely by the sun 😊

Slightly cropped to improve the composition a bit :P, custom conversion to black and white, more details shown in the sky and the setting sun underlined. Boosted shadows of the SUV for more details and visibility ;)

Thank you for this interesting challenge! I think the line between "editing" and "manipulating" is quite thin. Why don't give full freedom and see where it goes? When blended, arts are even better and more interesting :P Just a suggestion :)))
I honestly thought about it as well but I don't think I wanna see surfing dinosaurs 😄
There are quite a few other competitions which offer the full manipulation option.
But it's only the first round - There can be changes anytime.

I absolutely understand you. I avoid and generally don't like manipulating, as a good photo rarely needs any :) That's why my favorite image editing software is Lightroom, not Photoshop :)
Right on! :D I got now more feedback and more people think the same as you. So I might give it a shot in the next round.
(Same, I use 99% Lightroom and 1% PS)

Hello friends, how are you? I found it interesting to participate, and very funny, this kind of things I love, here are my results, I hope you like it!
Use Camera Raw 12 to develop the photo and then make some adjustments in Photoshop CC and final touches!

The only issue is that the contest will close in a few hours and people very likely will not come again to vote for the winners. Regarding to this issue I will change the voting system to "manual" curation form round 2 on. I really hope to see you in the next round again @davidsuarezms

manipulating would maybe add some more fun to it, i loved adding unicorns to @derekkind photos back in the day.
i wanted to say that i went for black and white because no one else did, but @lightcaptured did. nothing spectacular in the edit, all in LR, converted, added some highlights and shadows.

Well many people have suggested it now to let people fully manipulate images. I might give it a shot for the next round. We can adjust things from contest to contest!

This is my entry, i test some software but but after some edits i still prefer this after i use some masking on the car. The photo was edited in Lightroom Classic.
