Here's my submission for the contest, a cold and brutal but truly magnificent experience!
What an incredible submission! Thank you for participating with this stunning image!
Here's my submission! I took this on a winter trip to Northwest Territories in Canada. At -35c with a wind chill of -50c, it was the coldest conditions I've ever shot or hiked in. Somehow I enjoyed every minute of it.
I can see why you enjoyed it! 😍
Incredible work! Even its hard to imagine how cold that was I can understand that it was worth it!
Alpine Start
An alpine start is setting your alarm for some ungodly hour of the night just so you can get out of a perfectly warm mummy bag and go into the cold to climb a mountain.
Well, if you have to be out of the warmth of the tent you might as well catch a photo of the moment.
We were on a climbing trip to an area called Walsh Lakes in the Purcell mountains of south east British Columbia. The goal was to summit Mt Alpha Centari. We were up by 3 am and out of the tent to be ready to move by 3:45.
Incredible image! Thanks for participating!
The Sacrifice
Stunning! Glad to see you so active Casey!
This is my submission to the Night Photography Contest. Thanks @photofeed for hosting this! I'm excited to see everyones shots.
This is actually the first time I've posted this shot online. Taken this past summer as I helped my friend complete one of his lifetime bucket list items - seeing the Milkyway over Mt. Baker.
This shot is a composite of 15 frames from the same location. 3 for the foreground, taken during blue hour (9:30pm), and 12 for the sky taken early the next morning (12:17am-12:20am)
This has me rethinking my decision to enter an image..... lol
I spent a lot of time both planning, and getting this shot... 3 attempts over three summers. Glad its made that impression lol
The purples and yellows in the flowers and the sky are such a beautiful colour combination... Stunning!
Such an incredible shot @dyptre - It makes me proud seeing such stunning entries in this contest series!
Night Mare
Star trails at Horse Head rock, Bermagui. About an hour of rotation at 50mm. Blue hour shot for the rock details.
Aw man those trails are perfect!
Raining stars 😁
Great work Kieran! Just as always! :))
The standard of work in this weeks competition is wild! But it's the taking part that counts, right? :)
Here's my offering this week. A misty May full moon, setting over the park.
Happy Christmas Everyone!
It absolutely counts! The mood is amazing in this image!
This is great, Cath! Wonderful composition!
Thank you Kieran! Aside from knowing there was a full moon, and setting the alarm accordingly, I hadn't really planned anything, and I was somehow running late on this morning. It's amazing how quickly the moon seems to set, when one is having a mad scramble to find a composition. Glad that you like it. :)
best holiday to you too ;)
Magical in all ways, the light, the moon and reflection, the composition...😮 Congratulations @cathgothard.
Thank you @cellard00r ! It was an absolutely gorgeous morning. Quite spooky roaming around on my own in the dark and the mist... :)
Hello, here's my entry for the contest:
I took this shot of Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai from a bridge at Business Bay - definitely a photo spot that I can highly recommend you, if you visit this amazing city 🌃
Such great work once again! Thanks for participating!
Lighthouse Dornbusch, Hiddensee, Germany + some bats and the ISS 😏
Nikon D750 - Samyang 14/2,8 - f2,8 - ISO 6400 - 30 seconds
Very interesting capture! Great work!
Thanks
This would have to be my favourite nightscape image i've taken so far. It required the perfect conditions of little wind and no clouds (not common where I live) and was a vision of mine for about 5 months. Taken at a local wind farm in country Vic, Australia.
This is so good. Great alignment and imagery
Thanks Kieran! Super happy with how it turned out. PhotoPills is so amazing! Aha
It's great! Thanks for participating with this awesome image!
My post for the PhotoFeed Theme Contest - Night Photography (10)

Nice one! Thanks for joining in! :))
I don't think I have a single chance to compete with all these strongly edited beautiful shots but I try my chance anyway.
I like the image @dawnoner ! Its always nice seeing different styles!
Thanks for your support @photofeed :)
I took a shot of this colorful dusk when I went down south back in 2019. Country dusk is so much prettier because you don't have all those city lights.
Interesting capture - Thanks for participating!
Hi! It is probably pointless to compete with such works, but I want to try.
Here is my entry:
Beautiful work! It's definitely worth the entry!
I capture this unusual lit up metal statue on my Thailand vacation a little while back I assume it represents maybe a rice basket used in there culture to carry rice it was changing colors which made it quite interesting to look at.
That's a pretty cool shot of a pretty big rice bucket! Thanks for joining in again! :))
Thanks man you will be able to store a lot of rice in that bucket 🤣 See you in the next round 😁
This is my entry for the Night Photography Competition. @photofeed, thank you for hosting this! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's photos.
This was taken during a trip to New York City. It was the most beautiful time of year to visit, and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay. I loved every second of it.
Oh wow, thanks for sharing this cool image!
I thought about posting a new story with new photos, and one of them was supposed to join the contest ... But as I see it will be too late ... (Maybe it is already too late). Nevertheless... I will try to join the contest with an image already posted in one of the previous stories (as I understand, it is allowed):
Black and white... Maybe, a wrong choice. But anyway I wanted to join...
Good luck to everyone.
😴
I like it exactly like this in black and white! Great entry!
Full moon lighting up the city of Jomtien taken form my balcony overlooking Jomtien City in Thailand.
Oh wow - This moon seems massive :D Thanks for joining in!
Thanks @photofeed catch you in the next round.
