When I was a kid it always confused me that the nickname for Minnesota was called the land of 10,000 lakes.

If a lake is defined as a body of water of at least 10 acres, Minnesota actually has at least 15,000. Doesn’t sound as nice as the unit bias 10k though.

Interesting. I am guessing we must just have a bunch of smaller lakes. We have a lot of of them, I know that for sure.
