This would be my first post for the #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay in the year of 2022, and the most recent pics I took.
As I mentioned in the previous post, the weather in my city is not the most pleasant thing - we have a lot of snow and a cloudy gray sky recently, little sun and an awfully short, tiny, criminally slippery daylight hours. (Frost, high humidity and wind can be added to this list on a regular basis, as well...)
All this does not really stimulate me to take photo walks in the period from December to February, although of course exceptions are always possible. So, when January gave me - no, not sunny, but at least not very gloomy - a day, I used it for my favorite pastime, such as: I attached to the camera my fave macro telephoto lens and ventured to look at the snow-covered sleeping nature through the viewfinder glass.
Как я уже упоминал в предыдущем посте, погода в моем городе стоит не самая приятная - мы имеем много снега и пасмурное серое небо, мало солнца и ужасно короткий, крошечный, преступно ускользающий из рук световой день. (Обычно к этому списку можно добавить холод, большую влажность и ветер...)
Всё это не слишком стимулирует меня на фото-прогулки в период с декабря по февраль, хотя конечно исключения бывают. И когда январь подарил мне -- нет, не солнечный, но хотя бы не очень хмурый - день, я захватил с собой камеру и макро телеобъектив, чтобы поразглядывать спящую зимнюю природу в видоискатель.
I published some of the photos taken that day in my previous post (frosty berries), but it is impossible to fit everything, so here is part two, where I will show you more than just snowy berries.

All photos in this post were taken with a Sigma 150mm macro lens. (This is my second macro lens, besides that I also have a Tamron 60mm, but I almost never use it - it is for crop-cameras). Yes, I dream of trying other lenses, first of all the Canon 100mm L ... and I don't want to limit myself, but my resources are limited. Anyway, my sigma is a heavy glass ... when I take it with me, on the one hand it reduces my possibilities ... but on the other - "less is more!" This is one of my favorite and sought-after lenses. Landscape? Portrait? Object shooting? Macro? Wonderful boke? He does all this superbly.
Все фотографии в посте сделаны макро-объективом Sigma 150mm. (Это мой второй макрик, у меня есть еще Tamron 60mm, но я почти им не пользуюсь уже: он для кроп-камер). И да, я мечтаю попробовать все остальное, в первую очередь Canon 100mm L... но меня ограничивает бюджет. Так или иначе, моя сигма - тяжелое стекло, когда я беру его с собой, это с одной стороны уменьшает мои возможности... но с другой - "less is more!" Это один из моих самых любимых и востребованных объективов. Пейзаж? Портрет? Предметка? Макро? Бокэ? он делает это на 5+.
Looking at these pictures, I want to talk about monochrome ... yes, winter painted everything white, but it still has many shades, and walking with the camera, you can find not only blue spots from Coca-Cola advertising posters.

I heard that earlier this blockchain among the numerous photo contests, had one more named "White on White". Alas, I missed that time and competition. I have a very few photos, that would fit said prompt... and I think this one would fit perfectly. It also can be titled "Two Bottles" or "Between Two Temptations." In general, quite accidentally I got a capture rich in images.
Я слышал, раньше этот блокчейн имел среди многочисленных фото-конкурсов ещё один, с темой "Белое на белом". У меня немного таких фото, точнее говоря, очень мало! и я думаю, что эта подошла бы вполне. Еще ее можно назвать "Две бутылки" или "Между двух искушений". В общем, у меня совершенно случайно получился богатый на образы снимок.

Winter and snow... Great!
We have temperature above 5 deg. last week and rainy days... I hope we see some snow till end of the winter here 😉
oh.... eh.... I do understand you! with this global warming shit, this is what we always get here at St.Petersburg. some winters have just a few days with 1-2 mm of snow, which last for 1-2 days, and the rest is dirt and slit. our kidz forget what the snow is! and are deprived of snowballs, snowmen, snow hills. I am sure there will be more frost on the way (there is still January and February on the horizon!)

I have been wanting to get out for some photography, too - I have some 120 film in a camera that needs to be finished - but it has been so grey with complete cloud cover that everything looks dull. Not even monochrome type fun, just dull and boring. Maybe we'll get a good snowfall like you have and I could at least take some fun picturesque photos. I like the snow.

120mm might be cool, especially if you spend it for something ... more gorgeous than ordinary. b-w streetphoto, maybe some reflections, or kid'z staged session with vintage stuff? I never had a chance myself of using 120mm
thats exactly my case! except we have clean white snow. you do understand me.
at least I had time (due to holydays) to forget about school, office duties, public transport and feel recharged! :P we just performed a nice photo-session with my kid, involving Christmas presents and lots of sweets 🤩
there will be all of the January, and February, right? plenty time for a snowfall to happen!

(tho, I must admit, 2021 was not too bad for us, and especially for Hive. nobody of my relatives or friends suffered from C19, our only loss was the cat member of the family... heh. and I've got finally a new job. I cannot complain in any way!)
ps. as I solved my wife's problem with her old notebook (obtaining a shiny new one) now I have a chance of spending part of my salary for another lens to cheer me up! 😋 I hope 2022 will bring me some surprises. dont want to buy lens from my Hive earnings (all goes into my HP)... but lets see!

привет! за городские службы не скажу, я с конца декабря безвылазно сижу дома (ну, исключая марш-броски за продуктами и бухлом). вот один разок только чуток и погулял. но вообще, дороги расчищены, прямо сейчас -2С, прекрасно лепится снег и снежки и снеговики.... и мороз переносить легче.

ps. Today was another sunny (and very cold) day. Took my (shitty) 70-300 tele lens hoping I maybe encounter some waxwings or fieldbirds on rowan berries, but no luck. Instead, walked across a snowmen cemetary, and rewarded myself with !PIZZA :)))
Oh NO! A snowmen cemetery???!!! What happened, did they melt? Poor snowmen....
Sorry that the waxwings and fieldbirds didn't make themselves present. I hope that you had a nice walk in the sunshine though!

If they died of heatstroke, that would be fair and honest. but no. they were broken by other people - not allowed to live longer. there are too much people around with negativity inside - barbarians who want to break and stammer someone else's beauty and creativity works, this is their main pleasure. sad but true. therefore, any snowman standing in a conspicuous place has a small chance of surviving and lasting long, shows the practice.
it turns out that I manage to photograph only sculptures that have been made recently, it all depends on luck; and if they catch the eye of the barbarians earlier, then I am able only to see the ruins. there were a lot of ruins yesterday (and I didn't photograph them ...). that's why such a bitter joke about the "cemetary".
but still, I found some undamaged! as you can see in the pics. more !PIZZA, and bon appetit.
Oh @qwerrie, this is a sad state of affairs. :( Snowmen should be allowed to melt, not be broken and smashed up for fun. At least the people who make the snowmen are undeterred by the barbarians, and create their sculptures regardless of the fact that they know the barbarians may come....
