📸 PhotoFeed Contest - Black & White Photography Round 101

in PhotoFeed • yesterday

Thailand is not only beaches and sunsets, but also moments that remain in the memory forever.
I took several pictures while walking along the coast. In one of them, my son is standing by the water, and behind him, fishing boats are rocking.
He looked at them for a long time and asked where they were sailing and how they fished.

In another photo, a man and a woman are slowly sailing on a small sailboat. Behind them is a tall hotel, which seems alien next to the simplicity of the fishing life. This contrast makes you think about how differently you can perceive rest and enjoy this moment.

In this moment, you can feel a connection with traditions, with those who live this day and this work. These simple moments stay with us, as parts of a whole story.

But most of all, I was hooked by the picture with my wife. She was standing on the shore and looking into the distance, as if looking for answers to the questions that we often ask each other.

Lately I have been increasingly interested in black and white photography. It has no unnecessary details that can distract from the essence. When you remove the colors, you can focus on the light, shadows and shapes that often go unnoticed. Black and white seems to cleanse the frame, forcing us to see more meaning and emotion in it. It's like looking at the world in its simplest, but most real manifestations.

Thank you for sharing these moments with me! Until new stories and new holidays!

Lovely photos!

I like turning some of my photos to BNW and from time to time I get good results :)

And I also think that BNW photos has that nostalgia that makes photos look more memorable (IMHO).
