The photo shows a view of Antofagasta taken during the sunset. This city of the north of Chile, is located at a long and narrow strip between the Pacific Ocean and the mountains. It is at the coast of the Atacama desert. Therefore there is no vegetation outside the city limits, as it can be seen in the arid mountains shown in the photoa.
