Bzzz!
Hi there!
The explosions are getting louder and louder from the front, it will soon be hot here too, but this post will be about peaceful everyday life.
For a long time I had to turn to outsiders for help with grinding grain. I need it to feed my animals that we keep. Buying wheat is not a problem, but to grind it into grits for better digestion by the animals you need a special mill.
All summer long I have been constructing a homemade mill from improvised materials. It even grinded me one bucket of grain on test runs, but this is a topic for a separate DIY post....
I decided to buy a ready-made one because my neighbour's grinder broke down. His old machine had tired bearings and frayed mesh. Now it's my turn to help grind his grain.
I chose an inexpensive machine on the internet and ordered its delivery by mail to the nearest automatic post machine , but after a few days of waiting I began to suspect a trick.
I had to call the post office to find out that my parcel didn't fit in the mailbox in the automatic post machine and had been diverted to a mobile branch. This is a postal vehicle that visits our village several times a week on an unknown schedule.
After a bit of arguing with the operator, the issue was resolved by the fact that I had this parcel brought directly to my house for free. It turned out to be a pleasant bonus, taking into account the fact that the way to the post office is not close, and the box was heavier than I imagined.
Just above you could see the unpacking of my parcel and an inspection of the contents.
The seller packed the box with the product in a separate box in order to keep the product in good condition.
Inside, everything is packed in a good quality way, using bubble wrap and
celophane.
This is a powerful hammer grinder for various types of grain with a 2.5Kw motor. It comes with 4 meshes with different mesh diameters for different degrees of grinding. It is also possible to grind whole corn stalks using a separate feed opening.
I have lacked this machine in my household for 3 years, but there were more important things to buy
Assembly of the device was not very difficult and took no more than half an hour. The kit included all the necessary fasteners for assembly without any tools.
What took the most time in the process was waiting for my young daughter to satiate her inquisitiveness. She asked lots of questions and was impressed with the colour of our new clothes. She followed the assembly process closely.
The old nightstand was used as a stand for the mill and we put it to the test that same day.
I threshed a 50kg bag of grain in less than 10 minutes.
Made a short animation for you to give you an idea of how the unit works and where it is located.
