I do not tell anyone what to think. But the same goes for mantras of others. I do not see any critical discussion on your part. If you want to go into depth, we can take zkSNARKs apart and ask ourselves the question if this is really a mature technology backing the project. I think Peter Todd once initiated a critical discussion, which I did not pursue further. Anyway, let's leave it at that. I wish you good luck with your bet.
P.S. Maybe think about delivering more value in your posts. I thought this post was an exception, but it seems it's the average quality of your posts.
I didn't ask you to tell anyone what to think, you are claiming you had some experience with zcash or a developer who likely isn't involved.
I'm just making sure I nullify your weak critiques of Zcash, while pursuing all avenues of knowledge on the topic.
In regards to the cryptography thats not something I would have the first clue about, but the people who wrote the zerocoin white paper elaborated in detail about those features.
Ian Miers & Matt Green are the 2 who i am the most familiar with in regards to the original white paper. They both elaborate to a great extent about the effect of flashlight attacks and other parameters that could be manipulated

P.S. the quality of my posts is an issue but you are referencing rapetoshi?
What did the quality of my posts have to do with the discussion at hand?
HTTP is in use instead of HTTPS and no protocol redirection is in place. Be careful and do not enter sensitive information in that website as your data won't be encrypted.
It's also a good habit to always hover links before clicking them in order to see the actual link in the bottom-left corner of your browser.

@keysdefender thats an official documentation for the zcash project.
Interesting, didn't know it used to be called zero cash. Whitelisted now, thanks.
Its the original white paper, originally was a research project title The Zero-Coin Project if i am not mistaken. Took root in 2011. First block with a coin was in 2016.
